What Was Your First Two-Disc Fully Loaded Dvd?
Last night, I popped in my Blade 2 dvd, and got hit with some nostalgia. Wow, I can't believe that I bought this disc way back in 2002. 8 years ago. I remember that I had jumped on the dvd bandwagon that year, and became a glutton for any dvd loaded with extras.
Blade 2 was my first two-disc purchase, and I loved it. The disc offered two great commentaries, and hours of production videos and docs. I enjoyed going through every single bit, and even finding the easter eggs...
Nowdays, I just don't have the time to devout hours to a dvd, and bonus features aren't much of a big deal anymore.
Anyone else remember their first two-disc dvd?

Either Fight Club or Terminator 2 (Ultimate Edition), can't remember which.
That said, the first DVD I remember buying (Three Kings) wasn't a 2-disc, but it might as well have been.

I think it was Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back, as far as 2-Disc sets go. For just one disc SEs that were still pretty loaded, Ghostbusters.

As best I recall, it was the Lawrence of Arabia "limited edition" with the light colored, fabric-y outer package, which I still own.

I'm pretty sure it was The Abyss in early 2000, followed closely by Fight Club, ID4, T2, Se7en and many others. I miss the days of the double wide case. A special edition really felt special back then. A two disc set like that was really awesome. I still think they look more "important" on the shelf. Although not as important as the awesome triple-wide Suspiria Limited! Sure they take up more shelf space, but I still love them.
I still own all of those originals except Fight Club which I just passed on to a buddy after upgrading to the blu. I just upgraded Se7en last week and will be doing the same with that one. Kind of sucks letting those beauties go, but the A/V upgrade is worth it for such favorites, and at least 7 has that beautiful digi-book to soften the blow. I wish FC would have gotten one!
I can't wait until the day I can upgrade The Abyss to blu! I can't believe that to this day a film like that hasn't even gotten an anamorphic release here. Ridiculous.
Fun thread, thanks!

This is tricky, because my earliest 2-disc sets were either TV series ("Kung Fu Master" from Tai Seng) or long Bollywood movies (DEVDAS) that were split up into two discs.
According to my records, the first 2-disc set I bought in which the film was on one disc and the special features were on a second disc was LOVE ETERNE (Hong Kong, 1963), the Shaw Bros. Huangmei opera version of "The Butterfly Lovers" starring Ivy Ling Po and Betty Loh Ti that was part of Celestial's series of remastered R3 Shaw DVD releases. This release came out in 2003.
