Echo Bridge to Re-Release Full Moon Titles

Echo Bridge Home entertainment will be releasing some of the Full Moon entertainment titles on 10/15/10. No specs have been announced but but the price it looks like they might just be full screen transfers. A Trancers 1 - 3 (Triple Feature) disc will also be released on the same day.

I'd be down to pick up the Trancers DVD's if they were dirt cheap.

wow that's random. Why would Full Moon do that?

I believe @ walmart they are going to be for $5.99 and Amazon.com has them at $6.99. I would only get them if they have new Widescreen masters. But thats asking for a lot.

Re: Echo Bridge to Re-Release Full Moon Titles

I hope they get Robot Wars and and Crash and Burn in a pack. (I think those are full moon anyway)

Maybe a Blu-ray release will come in the future?

Re: Echo Bridge to Re-Release Full Moon Titles

They could very well be widescreen. This same company re-released Little Nemo: Adventures In Slumberland and the original Prom Night, both of which were in widescreen. They've also put out some Asylum titles and I know at least one of them is in widescreen.

JJE-187 08-27-10 07:30 PM

Re: Echo Bridge to Re-Release Full Moon Titles

i believe ALL the Asylum DVDs are WS. Most of them are on BR too and have pretty decent 1080p transfers so i would gladly welcome cheap Full Moon films on BR

I might grab the Trancers flicks.

I have the Trancers collection, but wouldn't mind cheap re-releases of the Puppet Masters. Seems odd timing with PM1 just hitting Blu-ray. Are these legit releases?

I think I'll just stick with the original Full Moon releases, aside from the atrocious covers they are probably the exact same transfer/feature set.

joltman 09-10-10 11:37 PM

Re: Echo Bridge to Re-Release Full Moon Titles

Wow, the Demonic Toys/Dollman/Dollman vs Demonic Toys is only 10.50 on Amazon, I'm glad I never got the $40 set from Full Moon

Really enjoyed Trancers and would like to own them all, but I will hold out indefinitely for proper releases.

Also their cover art for Puppet Master 3 is actually the art from Puppet Master 2 that somebody ran through PS.

Torch isn't even in part 3.

I'll have to get the Subspecies set, I've been waiting forever for that. It always was out of reach to buy
looks like that's going to change for me on nov 9. It's about time, always wanted them but just couldn't manage to get them. I'm happy about that.

Nov 9th might be a killer for the wallet.

I wish they were getting Blu-Ray release too. If Echo Bridge can release the Asylum stuff on Blu why not Full Moon

And I thought I was getting a good deal on the box set for $30 last February. I believe that set was the only place to get the extended version of part 4, so I guess it's not so terrible.

Most of the older FM transfers looked like tape masters anyway, so I'm betting the Echo Bridge releases will at least look as good. Now I'm thinking I should have held off on getting Meridian for $7 from the July 4th sale, but I do love the cover art. I wonder if the Videozones segments will be included?

Nice to see the Subspecies series added to be released by Echo Bridge.

Re: Echo Bridge to Re-Release Full Moon Titles

This explains why Full Moon has been holding sales for a while: they either want to clear their stock, or the Echo Bridge release is Paramount or whomever getting the final word. If they're widescreen, I'm game.

Managed to find the Echo Bridge Puppet Master triple feature pack for $5 at Walmart shoved in the $5 bin (seemed like the sole copy). Discussed in Walmart bargains thread. Seems like a steal...

I'll post about the quality shortly.

Re: Echo Bridge to Re-Release Full Moon Titles

Is Subspecies any good? 1 and 2 are streaming on netflix and I love some vamps but it looked too low rent and I didn't want to ruin one of my few free Friday nights with a piece of drek.

I'm such a chicken when it comes to new stuff nowadays. Used to be I'd watch crap till 3 am and love it. Now with a kid...forget about it. I try to stick to only "sure" home runs but damn it has narrowed my viewing.

Are the videozones included on these?

Lastdaysofrain 11-17-10 07:58 AM

nope, just the movies, in so-so transfers that seem to be stretched to fill widescreen TVs

Alright, thanks. I'll just keep all of my original sets. I was looking forward to slimming them down, though.

tylergfoster 11-17-10 10:04 AM

If they're stretched then that sucks. Pass.

Re: Echo Bridge to Re-Release Full Moon Titles

Ugh. The review over at Amazon says that Trancers is using the same "dubbed from laserdisc" transfer that the old DVD had.

In 2010? Really?

I wasn't expecting much, but given how terrible the original DVD was, I was assuming this would at least be a minor upgrade. Apparently not.

I'm STILL waiting for my copy of the Subspecies 3- pack. Bought it from Amazon, before the release day.I wrote them the other day, now it looks like it carries a 4-7 week shipping delay.
UPDATE- They just shipped it out today.

Re: Echo Bridge to Re-Release Full Moon Titles

Does anyone have this Subspecies Release?

http://www.amazon.com/Subspecies-Com...8904808&sr=8-1

I was curious about the quality since it's about half the price of what Full Moon normally charges for their set.

Re: Echo Bridge to Re-Release Full Moon Titles

Not sure if you know, or care, but Full Moon put out a restored version of the first film that looks a lot better than before. They had some youtube video with a side by side.

joltman 02-10-12 03:12 PM

Re: Echo Bridge to Re-Release Full Moon Titles

The Echo Bridge release possibly has the restored version, they did release the restored version of the first Puppet Master. As to comparing it to the Full Moon set, note that the EB release only has the first 3 movies and I'm pretty sure it does not have any special features. If it were me, I'd be more likely to get this release by New Video Group which has all the same movies as the Full Moon set and is possibly the same discs (at least that's what people say about their Puppet Master set) and is only 16.99.

EDIT: I just found a review of the New Video Group set that even states that "This new set seems to be an exact copy down to the bonus features"

EDIT AGAIN: D'oh, I just realized this was the set you were asking about :P I assumed it was the Echo Bridge set since this is the Echo Bridge thread.

I do know about it. I wanted to pick it up on Blu-Ray but I heard a lot of mixed reviews about it.

Sorry for the confusion :)

Didn't want to start a new thread just to ask a question, so I was looking for one that was close enough.

Thank you both for the input though. I might have to pick up this new New Video Group set soon.

Walmart had the whole puppet master collection I think 1-3 maybe 4 too? for $10

The Man with the Golden Doujinshi 02-13-12 02:00 PM

Re: Echo Bridge to Re-Release Full Moon Titles

Then that wouldn't be the whole collection if it's 1-4. They have something like 9 or 10 of them.

You are correct. Wal-Mart has 2 different "Puppet Masters" 3-packs that alternate between the $5 dump bin and $10 in price. 1 includes the first 3 and the second included parts 4-6.
