Well MGM might be going under, but out of the vast catalog of film titles that range from the Cannon Films to Orion Pictures, films that have never been release with 16:9 transfers or released on DVD at all, MGM will be releasing Troll 2 on DVD and BluRay Combo?...This just makes me sick!

It'll probably either tie in, or lead into, the release of Best Worst Movie.

It's really not as bad as people think. It's not like it's Who's Your Caddy, Juwanna Man, or Avatar. It's not even at the Caddyshack level of suck.

One of my absolute favourite films, I'm absolutely STOKED this is getting a blu-ray release. I've seen it in a cinema three times, and if it played in New Zealand again I would make every effort to see it on the big screen again. No joke

I already have Troll 2 in the MGM Troll/Troll 2 disc. It's 1.85 anamorphic, good picture. I'll keep that. I watch it often.

Why no Troll 1 with it?

On the chance that wasn't a joke, or for the benefit of those who don't know, Troll 2 has nothing to do with Troll other than the title. There aren't even any Trolls in it, just goblins.

Hopefully you mean the godawful catastrophe that is Caddyshack 2, and not one of the best comedies of all time original.

I never thought I would see the day that "Troll 2" would get a blu-ray release... this is seriously blowing my mind right now.

I remember watching the film back in 1994/5 on TV with my parents and being about 6 at the time and thinking every fantasy movie was real (Tom Cruise's "Legend" and also "Labrynth" where my favorites) this movie seriously creepy me out and scared me for years!

It is rather amusing how Roger Corman and B-movie cult hits have beaten so many true classics to the Blu-Ray punch but i say the more the merrier. I missed the doc 'Best Worst' so i'm looking forward to this.

Nope. The original. It's not one of the best comedies of all time just because a lot of people like it. It just means that a lot of people like it. Caddyshack isn't funny. Which is odd, since it has Bill Murray and this is the only one of his comedies that I can't stand in the least. It's just...bad. Just plain bad. Not Twilight or Avatar bad, but still bad.

Now all we need is Tommy Wissiu to follow up on his promise of getting The Room on Blu (maybe he'll even use the HD version too. If your not familiar with the background on the movie, apparently Tommy couldn't tell the difference between HD and film, so he shot it with both cameras side by side.
