Re: Any word on the rest of Barney Miller?
I'd love to see the rest of the show. I know it's probably a bit strange, but I loved Barney Miller when I was a kid. I hate when a studio puts out a season or two of a show then just stops. Take WKRP. The set didn't sell well because people were mad that the music was replaced or just cut. I couldn't care less about the music. Nobody watches WKRP for the music. They watch it for the situations.

You're so wrong on this. Many shows, yes, the music is fairly generic and replacement music is hardly noticed. But with WKRP the music was key to the show. Many of the laughs or peak moments of each show were because of the music.

This isn't much help, but there was a thread in DVD Talk back in August of 2004, wondering if there would be a second season release. I contributed this post:
Back in late winter/early spring of '04, various General Mills cereals had DVD's of sitcoms from Columbia Pictures/Sony Television. One disc had two episodes of Barney Miller: "The Tunnel" (4th season) and "The Obituary" (8th season).
Like I said, I know it's not much. I don't know where you'd find copies of the General Mills DVD; I couldn't find any listed on eBay. Also, those unfamiliar with the series can see episodes from the first two seasons for free on Crackle.
