Bleh, looks like they'll most likely be double dipping on this one. Vaughn said he wants to do a extended cut with 18 more minutes of footage. That'll prolly be coming out during the holiday season if we're lucky.

Crappy cover art is crappy
OH! It's entertaining! USA Today said so! NOW, I'll check it out!!1!
I've heard interviews mentioning that quite a bit was cut due to length and pacing, hope it shows up on this release.
Edit: Mintz-Plasse seems to be this generation's Cory Haim...standing around with his mouth open, closing mouth, delivering line.

Extras on the DVD will include a commentary with director Matthew Vaughn, 2 featurettes ("The Art of KICK-ASS", "It's On! The Comic Book Origin of KICK-ASS"), and a Marketing Archive.
The Blu-ray/DVD Combo release will include all of that, along with an Ass-Kicking BonusView Mode, a 4-part A New Kind of Superhero: The Making of KICK-ASS featurette, BD-Live features, and a digital copy of the film.

Not all of them, according to dvdactive.com;
Well since the studio doesn't care for me having the four part documentary on DVD, I will have to break my policy on getting bootlegs just for the documentary. A bootlegger gets my money thanks to Lionsgate, Paramount, Warner Bros and Disney!

The Blu-ray/DVD combo release will include the deleted scenes, along with a Maximum Comedy Mode with Kevin Smith and Seann William Scott, Focus Points, a Wisdom From The shit Bandit feature, and a digital copy of the film.

Re: Kick-Ass 08-03-10
Why would a bootlegger bootleg the extras off a Blu onto an SD-DVD? I have no idea about it because I don't go and pirate stuff when the studios can't fit it all onto a disc, but I doubt the bootleg market would have anything except straight rips of the DVD.

The Cop Out Blu-Ray isn't exactly packed, again according to dvdactive.com;
More than the DVD, of course, but far from a normal Kevin Smith release.

Re: Kick-Ass 08-03-10
I was at his live Q&A in DC in April, and he talked about it plenty....he may not feel quite as passionately about it compared to all the ones he has written, but he has far from "disowned" it, as he even said he was proud of how it turned out and learned a lot by trying something different....
