Lethal Weapons
What's my best bet for buying the series? Does the "Four Film Favorites" version include the director's cut versions and the SE version of 4? The price just looks too good to be true.

Re: Lethal Weapons
It is indeed the 3 directors cuts and the first side of the original disc for IV.
You are losing the bonus features for IV, but the price is great for the quality of the movies.

If you don't already own them this is a fantastic deal. I've seen them as low as $8.99 for the series. At $2.25 a movie you can't beat it. That goes for many of the Warner Favorite Four titles like The Matrix, Superman, Dirty Harry etc.
They are the director's cuts and are recorded on DVD-18s which is a double-sided, dual layer disc. They didn't cheap out and compress them onto single-layer discs with Dolby 2.0 audio like some companies have done with their multi-pack titles.

To clarify, Lethal Weapon 4 was released as a flipper Special Edition. Since the discs in the 4 Film Favorites set are already flippers, you lose the other side of Lethal 4, which contains a gallery of trailers, deleted scenes, and the "Pure Lethal" documentary. You DO get the Donner audio commentary for Lethal 4, since it was on the "side" of the disc that they used for this collection.
Having recently watched those extras, I don't think it's worth losing sleep over. There's some mildly interesting stuff in the "Pure Lethal" doc, but it's very cheesy (from a time when all documentaries had to be "hosted" by people -- Glover, in this case), and the deleted scenes almost completely consist of the footage added back into the director's cuts.
As with others, I vote that you buy the 4 Film Favorites set, and if you're really curious, rent the Lethal 4 disc.
