I have tried to get this DVD set for a while now. I should have gotten it when it was first released, but now ADV films discontinuted it. No stores have it. Amazon and ebay sell it overpriced. One time Amazon sold it for $1000 and actually someone bought it! LOL. Only Alliance Home entertainment have acquired the rights and are rereleasing season 1 in Canada only. It seems that I might have to purchase each season individually, but they are big and bulky with double sided DVDs. Itunes does not have it and youtube/Divx only have a few episodes. Its not airing anymore either. There are some websites selling the international release its called the Andromeda box set 1-5 but they are bootlegs with no speacial features. Im looking for the slipstream collection.

Does anyone know where else I can get hold of this DVD set? Will I have to wait until someone decided to drop it off at some used DVD store? Will I really have to pay $400 plus to get this bc I paid someone and I got my money back from half.com bc the person's account was closed down.

I've noticed this too. I luckily have it, but have been tempted to sell it and take advantage.

I suspect alliance home entertainment will release it in Canada, so you may want to keep an eye on amazon.ca

Another thought is that there isn't really much special about this collection. The box it comes with is sort of flimsy, so you may be better off just collecting the individual releases used from amazon or secondspin/gohastings.
