Star 80 (1983) Open Matte on DVD?
I just picked up Star 80 in the bargin bin. It is the old version from 1998 and is 1.33:1 full screen.
Just wondering if anyone knows whether it is open matte or pan-and-scan?
Many shots look rather tight for it to be open matte but maybe the original 1.85:1 composition had even tighter close-up shots of the actors?

Very underrated film, IMO.

I just ordered this earlier this week after watching the excellent documentary "Not Quite Hollywood" - I was unaware it was a full screen version.

Well I have this film on VHS and it's full-screen I am sure it's always been that way here in USA I would love to see this film in wide-screen!

But knowing New Zealand often has versions like Australia I checked:
http://www.dvdvideoplanet.com/produc...oducts_id=4873
and found it in widescreen there.
If you have a region free player, go for it.
