Happy Days?

Seriously, come on. How can this classic not be released in full?

So disappointed

Re: Happy Days?

I'm not shocked. Seasons 1-4 were released. Season 5 was the infamous "Jump the Shark" season and everything that followed was 'meh' to garbage.

I actually liked the later seasons better.

Re: Happy Days?

I'm more of a fan of the early years. The High School Days.
I have Season 1 but haven't been able to get
anything beyond that yet.

Re: Happy Days?

Maybe I have a blind spot, but I swear I've never seen any seasons in stores. And I spend more time in retail stores than people who work full-time at Best Buy and part time at Target.

Re: Happy Days?

I think the show peaked at Seasons 3-5. Just give me season 5, I will buy that in an instant. And I will buy the remainder IF they are released AND if I can get them for dirt cheap.

Re: Happy Days?

I remember reading that they wiped out most of the original songs and music and some episodes were edited on these sets. (Sort of like what happened to WKRP).

EDIT: A quick look at Amazon shows that Season 2 apparently is missing all the original songs (!!!). That would be like watching "American Grafitti" with the sound off. Season 3 has some edited episodes, but music seems to be intact.

Re: Happy Days?

I sold my second season (the only season I purchased) after hearing the music changes, and "Guess who's Coming to Christmas" was edited.

Re: Happy Days?

^ Maybe that's why I've grown a blind spot to them. Wouldn't touch those edited sets even at Big Lots prices.

That's a good thing to know before buying these sets.
Why do they even bother releasing these sets if they're
going to be chopped up like that?
