Well it looks like the BD comes with a DVD copy. I think most studios just assume that BD will be the future and people will eventually have to buy BD players so why not just buy the BD then when the day comes you buy a BD player then you have a BD copy of the movie with all the features!

This is something that I'll have to rent first, seeing as the original is one of my top five favourite movies of all time. I've read that the mechanical owl, Bubo, is in the new version for a very little while. Is this true ? If so, are there any screenshots of the scene ? I'd love to see 'em.

Spoiler:
Bubo is in the movie for a few seconds at best. The scene is literally about 5 seconds long. When Perseus is getting ready to leave to begin his quest, he hears the sound of an owl coming from a large chest. He uncovers Bubo, picks him up, and asks another character "What's this"? The other guy says "It's Nothing". and Perseus puts him away. End of scene.

Well, that sucks. Bubo is one of the highlights of the original movie. In the new movie, it is the same Bubo as the original ? I mean, it looks the same ?

The movie is garbage. I'm not threadcrapping, but this movie is just terrible.

But to each his own.

Yes, it looks the same.

I enjoyed the movie. It's not a great movie by any means, but it was good popcorn flick IMO.

That date makes sense to coincide with Comicon, like Watchmen and 300 did. I'd heard rumors about June, but that seems too early.

I liked it. Do I think it has alot of replay value? Not really, but it was fun despite being a flawed movie. If I can get the BR for under $20, then I will consider picking it up.

Part of my dvd collecting habit is to collect original films and the remakes of them, so I will probably pick this up on release day-

Re: Clash Of The Titans --> July 27

I thought this movie was pretty terrible, but I have heard that there are at least some deleted scenes out there that offer more scenes for the gods and a different romance for Perseus (http://chud.com/articles/articles/23...SEE/Page1.html). I'd be intrigued by a director's cut, but it would take a lot of changes to make this a good film.

Your definition of "not threadcrapping" reminds me a lot of Alanis Morissette's definition of "ironic"....
