I always tend to buy WWE DVDs the first day...as for MitB, it's suppose to be released in Canada this Tuesday...for some reason which I don't understand we always get the ppvs 1 week later than the US whereas for other non-ppvs we get them the same day.

I just bought MitB from Amazon.ca instead of waiting til next Tuesday...since i didn't want to wait. Already watched it too...absolutely loved it!

Was at Best Buy today and they had OMG Blu-ray out, but the register always locks the sale saying not to sell before the release date, happened to me few times in the past. But at least i know where to go Tuesday morning to pick it up instead of driving store to store looking.

It's worth a shot, though. Just a month ago I got Lincoln Lawyer Blu-ray and Rey Mysterio disc the Saturday before release with no issue at Best Buy.

That's a give or take situation, depending on the stores.

Not bad...surprised about the OVW match, never expected that. Too bad they didn't put any ECW Stairway to Hell matches...specifically both Dreamer vs. Credible from Guilty As Charged 1999 and Heatwave 2000...don't think those matches have been released on WWE DVDs. The only one i recall that is on the ECW DVD is Sabu vs. Sandman from House Party 1998.

^ A shame about all of the WWE PPV matches that they've shoved on there.

What else could they have included? Most of the Ladder matches happened on WWE PPV, some of the other ladder matches weren't 'traditional' ladder matches (ie the ECW and some WCW matches), maybe that was why they weren't included.

The only match I'm disappointed didn't make it was the Bad News Allen/Bret Hart match from Stampede. Hopefully they are keeping that and more Stampede footage for 'Bret Hart: The Unreleased Collectors Series' (wishful thinking).

I'll pick the Ladder Match Blu-Ray that way I'll get PPV matches in HD for the first time - including Edge/Taker, HBK/Y2J and the incredible JoMo/Sheamus match (too bad they didn't include the TLC from last years event as a blu extra).

And yet they found it necessary to include the WM X match again? that's on the Wrestlemania DVD set that came out a few months ago.

Mark, are you still going to create inserts for the new OMG standard DVD set coming out tomorrow here in the USA? Would like those.

Yet again......................................

they have to operate under the assumption that a large portion of the purchasers of this will be people who don't buy all or most of WWE's releases. It's one of their most widely recognized matches of all time and is easily the first ladder match that comes to mind, so of course it will be on any ladder themed release, repeat or not.

Hey at least it's not the Triangle Ladder Match from WM16 that sucker makes it onto almost every set...

OMG inserts soon...

Nah, I finally found it at Wal-Mart but I had to drive 45 minutes to find it which sucks but at least I can get rid of the old packaging, thank you for the offer though!

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XIII

Don't know if this is true or not, but i read on another message board that newer versions of the Rise and Fall of ECW actually removes any comments or mentions of Benoit. If you remember the original print ran about 2 hours 55 minutes but this person said that the new print runs at about 2 hours 50 minutes and said he watched it and no mention of Benoit. I remember Benoit having comments feeling remorse about breaking Sabu's neck and calling him everyday and Paul Heyman went to Benoit told to call himself the "crippler", etc.

Is this true for anyone that just recently bought it? if so then damn! never expected WWE to actually edit their previous DVD titles...i just thought going forward they will have no mention on Benoit.

I could imagine if buying Summerslam 2004 now, you will probably see Orton wrestling a black silhouette.

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XIII

They won't do another print run of Summerslam 2004. At least they kept him in for the anthology release(s). Rise and Fall of ECW is one of their best selling DVD releases ever, so it must have necessitated another production run, at which time they felt it was in their best interest to edit Benoit. If it's true, and I have no reason to believe it isn't, then it likely was done closer to 2007 than now.

I just got the 50 OMG moments on Blu-Ray and I am glad to say that it did not include that terrible artwork, it just has the caution tape in the backround

He was in the the Nitro DVD quite abit, even metioned by name with an entrance during the Houseman Reunion/Flair Return from '98, so seems silly to edit the Rise and Fall to me. But as you said, the reprints could have been done when people were still ultra sensitive to what happened, and the 'E didn't want to draw attention to it.

That's exactly what I think happened. I'd be a bit surprised to learn they ordered another production run of that set in the last year or two. It seems they are getting a tad more lax in regards to Benoit content as time goes on. They'll never highlight him again but they seem to at least be attempting to be a bit more judicious with their editing.

I thank you as always Mark, but just wish WWE could have found another match for the Ladders matches 2 set than the WM X one though. They should have enough in their library to warrant something different.

Agreed, anything unreleased from WWE/WCW TV or a rare ECW match would have been more than decent.
