I agree. That High Flyers insert was top-notch.

I do have a Cena insert almost completed and I'm hoping to get a SmackDown one done this weekend, stay tuned...

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XIII

Shaun Blackford of WWEDVDNews.com who has a good relationship with WWE themselves has a new video up on Youtube, and he has a list of planned releases for the new year. The brilliant news is, he has announced that they have plans to release a Goldberg set, as well as Best Of Raw 1995/1996 AND Best Of WCW Nitro 1995/1996 in May!

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XIII

It always feels like Fall is the busiest time for wrestling DVD releases. This past week, I bought TNA Wrestling's Greatest Moments and Night of Champions 2010, I still want to get The Best of SmackDown 2009-2010, next week is Hell in a Cell 2010 and Hardcore Justice, and then in a couple of weeks is The John Cena Experience and the Victory Road 2010/No Surrender 2010 two-pack. And here's the funny thing: two wrestling DVDs I wanted were released on 10/19, and will be again on 11/2 and 11/16.

On a related note, I would guy the Goldberg set in a heartbeat. The great thing is that because he didn't have a long career, they might include all of his greatest hits:

-vs. Raven - US Title - Nitro, 4/98
-vs. Hogan - Nitro -7/98
-vs. Sting - Nitro - 9/98
-vs. Nash - Starrcade '98
-vs. Bam Bam Bigelow - SuperBrawl '99
-vs. Nash - Spring Stampede '99
-vs. DDP - Fall Brawl '99
-vs. Sid - Halloween Havoc '99
-vs. Sid - Mayhem '99
-vs. Steiner - Fall Brawl '00
-w/ Muta vs. Kronik - New Japan - 2002
-vs. The Rock - Backlash '03
-vs. Jericho - Bad Blood '03
-vs. Triple H - Unforgiven '03/Survivor Series '03

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XIII

^ Would WWE be able to use a NJPW match on the set? I think I would like to see mainly WCW PPV matches on the set as well though, becuase they are never gonna get a proper release otherwise.

THANK YOU so much for doing this...it helps a lot of us follow what's on these sets. Now if only WWE Home Video would actually start doing their jobs and provide the inserts and they should pay you for a splendid job on these.

It's not part of the WWE Video Library, but the WWE has, if I remember correctly (can someone verify this for me?), included a match from a promotion they don't own the rights to on a DVD, and they did so by cutting a deal with said promotion.

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XIII

if true its good news, would love both nitro and goldberg sets
i hope they stack the goldberg set with his early streak matches from late 97 through 98, he was a beast then and was his best time, they could dip into the wcw vault as well, with matches from nitro/thunder/worldwide/pro/saturday night/ppvs

Petition for WWE to bring back Inserts. May not lead to change but worth a shot!

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XIII

I found the WWE World Class set in the five dollar bin at Walmart yesterday. The only other WWE DVD in there was Undertaker 15-0.

Thanks so much for doing what the WWE failed to do. The inserts look top notch.

Now onto the possible Nitro 95/96 set for 2011. Since 95 only ran from September and 96 was an insane year with the nWo etc, I hope they give one disc to 95 and the other 3 to 96. Agree?

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XIII

At first glance I thought it said Goldust set, which would have been considerably more exciting than a Goldberg set.

Dustin Rhodes is more than deserving of his own set.

He is getting an autobiogrophy, and a bit of a push on Raw at the moment. With that being said, maybe he will get a 1 disc DVD like what John Morrison got earlier this year to go with the push.

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XIII

Earlier this year Goldust tweeted that there was a dvd about him in the works. I guess it got scrapped in favor of the autobiography. I too would've enjoyed a Goldust dvd, hell yeah.

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XIII

Well it turns out that the Kofi Kingston DVD that was supposed to come out this year was actualy made. It will instead though air on PPV as a 2 hour special.

md2810, it would be great if you could make a Kofi kingston DVD cover with the ppv poster. we could create a custom dvd very close to what could have been an original release. I wish i could have found a pic with better resolution.

I don't think you can talk about bootlegs and that here. (Though I'm sure he would make a brilliant cover for it).
