Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XIII
For me, these are the dvd sets I would like to see released eventually.
The Best of the Bushwhackers: Licking and Whacking for The Fans (2 disc set)
This dvd set can feature their matches with The Fabulous Rougeau Bros from Wrestlemania 5, Royal Rumble 90 and various Saturday Night Main Events. Also, the tag title match vs. The Nasty Boys from a SNME in 1991
Brian Knobbs: More Than A Tag Wrestler (2 disc set)
This set will include every match Brian had after Sags retired from WCW. Also for an added bonus, it can show that brief appearance he had by himself in Royal Rumble 91, when it was him, Hogan and Quake at the end.
Ric Flair: The Remaining Embarrassing Footage of His Career (3 disc set)
Now that Flair is with the rival company, why not show the WWE audience some of the most embarrassing things Natche has done over the years. From being nuts and put into a crazy home while being president of WCW, to being buried in the sand by The Filthy Animals, to that horrible match he had with Savage on prime time wrestling where he won the WWF Title only to be yelled at by McMahon after the match was over. And don't forget about his feud with Vince Russo over the old NWA Title belt and David Flair.
The History of the FTW Title (2 disc set)
Yes, sit back and remember the long line of champions that held this belt. From the time it was created in the summer of 1998 by Taz, to when it was retired... also by Taz in March of 1999. See such matches as Taz vs. Bam Bam Bigelow from Heatwave 98, Taz vs. Sabu from ECW Hardcore TV 98, Sabu vs. Skull Von Crush from Crossing the Line '99, to Taz vs. Sabu in a unification match at Living Dangerously 99. Re-live all these great moments. Disc 2 will just be interviews by Taz, saying how he is a better champion than the injured Shane Douglas for 3 hours.
and last but not least...
The History of the Barbed Wire Steel Cage Match!! (3 discs)
Re-live such matches as Hollywood Hogan vs. Ric Flair from Uncensored 99 and JBL vs. The Big Show from No Way Out 2005, and... okay, I guess that's all. The rest of disc 1 will have promo's setting up for the matches. Disc 2 will just be JBL's interviews and shoots on why he hates blacks, mexicans, and other races. Disc 3 will be Hulk Hogan vs. Ric Flair from Uncensored 2000 in the apple pie strap match and Bradshaw vs. The Big Show from Insurrextion 2001.
Those are the dvds that the WWE needs to make right now!!! Everyone would buy them, that's a safe bet!!

So what are your most wanted WWE DVDs that will probally never see the light of day. Mine are
The Best of SuperAstros
Terry Funk (with documentary)
Jerry The King Lawler (with documentary)
Owen Hart (with documentary)
3-Disc of Chris Beniot
A "History of the Territories" (WWE owns so many small companies that will never get a Rise and Fall release that I would love a documentary about all the indies from the 70s-80s)

Best Of Monday Nitro (3 Discs)
Best Of Saturday Night (2 Discs)
Best Of The Clash Of The Champions (3 Discs)

Best Of Kurt Angle (WWE) (3 Discs)
The Rise And Fall Of The nWo (2 Discs)
Best Of The Dudleyz (2 Discs)
Best Of Tazz (2 Discs)

i agree with all these, especially a nitro set, along with a 2 or 3 disk set on the nwo, a real good one, not the 1 disc they put out years ago that glossed over most of the good stuff

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XIII
figured i'd put what wwe dvds id like to see, so here we go:
Sting: (3 disc)
Has to have a great documentary, and lots of extra matches, and bonus material.
CM Punk: (3 disc)
At this early stage in his wwe career he doesnt need a documentary yet, he just needs a three disc of matches, with him hosting it.
Mick Foley: (3 disc)
His first dvd was awesome, but he needs a new one with a documentary, his segment on greatest stars of the 90s was my favorite on that dvd, he needs a full documentary, with more of his awesome matches
NWO: (3 disc)
Could be an awesome documentary, with matches and segments including the nwo. would be awesome. but knowing wwe, it'll never happen.
The attitude era: (3 disc)
Could go either way, could have a documentary talking about the era and memorable moments, or could be matches and segments from the era.
ECW: (3 disc)
Yes there has been many ecw dvds, but who doesnt want a dvd of more ORIGINAL ecw matches. screw the watered down vince mcmahon version
Diamond Dallas Page: (3 disc)
DDP was awesome, and doesnt get nearly enough credit for the success of wcw that he deserves, i would love to see a documentary, or just his matches! BANG!
i know there's more id like to see but i can think of them at the moment.

BO-ring. I think it's funny how a pretty good ppv like MITB gets typically terrible features, but a flop ppv like Over the Limit gets like 6 features, including the nodq match between Bret Hart & The Miz.

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XIII
I would like to see an ECW anthology in the same vein as the Wrestlemania or Summerslam anthologies. It could contain every Pay-Per-View from the original ECW as well as the first two One Night Stands.
Also, has there been any word on the rest of the Survivor Series anthologies being released?

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XIII
Silvervision confirmed via their Facebook that the upcoming Jericho DVD will feature 20 matches we know 3 of them...
1. Vs Lance Storm (1st match)
2. Vs Ultimo Dragon (Japan)
3. Vs Cactus Jack (Big Ass Extreme Bash, Queens, NY)
But what will the other 17 be...? I think they should go with...
4. w/ Storm vs Heavenly Bodies (SMW Night of Legends) - very bloody match so will probably be missed off and replaced with another
5. Vs RVD (Big Apple Blizzard Bash)
6. Vs Pitbull #2 (Hardcore Heaven 96)
7. Vs Eddie Guerrero (Fall Brawl 97)
8. Vs Dean Malenko (Great American Bash)
9. Vs Mysterio (Bash at the Beach)
10. Vs Ken Shamrock (First Blood - SmackDown Sep 99)
11. Vs Big Show (Hardcore Title - Raw 01)
12. Vs Stone Cold (Cage Match - Raw 01)
13. Vs HBK (Raw '03)
14. Vs Lance Storm (One Night Stand)
15. Vs JBL (Royal Rumble 08)
16. Vs Batista (Cage Match - 800th Raw)
17.*Vs HBK (Last Man Standing - Raw UK Nov '08)
18. Vs John Morrison (Superstars - not the one on the Morrison DVD)
19. Vs Mysterio (Extreme Rules)
20. Vs Daniel Bryan (NXT premier)
What does everyone else think, did I miss anything? I tried to exclude matches already on DVD, including important ones like the Vengeance world title win.
I would have also included some matches from SnackDown this past year, but I'm hoping they will be covered in the upcoming Smack Down set (ie the match vs Taker last year, the triple threat match with Edge and Swagger and the match with Kofi just after the Draft).
I really don't know why WWE don't add a couple more discs and bump up the price, realistically this set won't appeal to their target demographic. Because why would little Timmy buy a DVD about a 'bad guy'?

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XIII
1 more 3-Disc DVD i would like to see and it would even fit in with the current WWE kids demographic.
Hulk Hogan's Rock N Wrestling: The Complete Series
They could have 2 disc be the entire series and a third disc could be a documentary about the series and some matches from the 80s featuring the stars of the show. Could be a fun little DVD. Maybe after Hulk & Co. leaves TNA in a few months he can get back in with WWE and they can release this little piece of history. I woudl even take a 2-Disc set with just all the episodes of the series

vs hhh fully loaded 2000
both matches at vengence 2001
ladder match vs hbk no mercy 2008
summerslam 2001 vs rhyno
anything from ecw/wcw
extras from his wcw days(he had some great funny promos back then)
i hope most of this is included, especially the fully loaded 2000 match, that was one of his best matches he ever had imo

They would be idiots to not include the Battle Royal/Match with Malenko from Slamboree 1998.
That's still one of the loudest pops I've ever heard in my life.

With these sets, I'm usually more interested in TV stuff, since it's obvious ppv matches are already available. But here's some matches I'd like to see:
-vs. The Undertaker - First time one-on-one - SmackDown, November 2009
-vs. Rey Mysterio - SmackDown, July 2009
-vs. Rey Mysterio - The Bash 2009
-vs. Rey Msyterio - RAW, June 2009
-vs. John Cena - Armageddon 2008
-vs. Batista - RAW 800th Episode
-vs. Shawn Michaels - Last Man Standing Match - November 2008
-vs. Shawn Michaels - Great American Bash 2008
-vs. JBL - RAW, February 2008
-vs. John Cena - "You're Fired!" match - RAW, August 2005
-vs. Shelton Benjamin - Backlash 2005
-vs. Shawn Michaels - RAW, September 2004
-vs. Christian - Steel Cage Match - RAW, May 2004
-vs. Rob Van Dam - RAW - October 2003
-vs. Kevin Nash - Hair vs. Hair - August 2003
-vs. Shawn Michaels - RAW, July 2003
-vs. Rob Van Dam - IC Title - September 2002
-vs. Hulk Hogan - SmackDown, May 2002
-vs. Triple H - SmackDown, April 2002
-vs. Triple H - RAW, April 2000
Personally, I try to avoid as much '97-early '02 as much as possible, because the blurring is so bad. I wouldn't want to see much from Jericho in WWF from his debut to mid'02 because of the blurring. Here's some more:
-vs. Raven - Halloween Havoc 1998
-vs. Dean Malenko - Uncensored 1998
-vs. Eddie Guerrero - SuperBrawl VII
-vs. Chris Benoit - Fall Brawl 1996 (I know, I know)
And I don't really know of any ECW stuff.
-vs. The Undertaker - First time one-on-one - SmackDown, November 2009
-vs. Rey Mysterio - SmackDown, July 2009
-vs. Rey Mysterio - The Bash 2009
-vs. Rey Msyterio - RAW, June 2009
-vs. John Cena - Armageddon 2008
-vs. Batista - RAW 800th Episode
-vs. Shawn Michaels - Last Man Standing Match - November 2008
-vs. Shawn Michaels - Great American Bash 2008
-vs. JBL - RAW, February 2008
-vs. John Cena - "You're Fired!" match - RAW, August 2005

Raw Seasons 1 & 2 DVD is packaged like below. I think this will be a cool way of doing it if WWE continues releasing Best of Season DVDs for all other years in this "volume" style.

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XIII
yes its true, and it was on smackdown for free instead of having them fight at a big ppv
jericho is the mvp of the company right now imo, the guy can do anything, heel or face, if he doesn't resign it's a huge loss for wwe, just like hbk, he's one of the few bright spots on the company right now
knowing mcmahon he will probably bash him like a immature child if he leaves, just like he did with mickie james, vince's ego and immaturity is why he is so hated, just look at what he's down with jr and mickie james recently
