Went shopping in Hermitage PA today, found 3 at FYE: American Gothic (1987, Rod Steiger, Yvonne De Carlo for $2.97), 12 Monkeys (1996, Special Edition for $3.97), and Zombie (1979, 2-Disc Ultimate Edition for $5.00 ~ marked down from $24.99), then found 2 at Big Lots: Dark Crystal (w/ Digital Copy ~ Probably expired, complete with slip cover) and Frankenfish, both for $3 ea.

Boy did I come across a doozy while "Yard Saleing" last week! I chanced across a box with five VHS Movies in it. The host sold them to me for $1.00. I'm saving the best pick for last(You'll find out why as you read on)! They were:

1. The Andromeda Strain (Original)

2.. Baker's Hawk

3. Driven

4. The Grapes of Wrath

5. Meteorites! I was going to watch it tonight, but I noticed it was shrink-wrapped, and never been open. It also has a sticker on it saying "For Distributor Promotional Use Only. Not For Sale, Rental, Duplication or Public Performance." I didn't know what I had found, but something told me NOT to open it. I went over to "The Big River" and found the cheapest price for a NEW Copy of this movie going for a little over $70.00!!! Bear in mind not only is my Copy unopened, but it was meant for some kind of promotion for Heaven knows what. This Tape must NEVER get opened! The only way I'll most likely see this movie will be to wait until it gets released on DVD (If that ever happens) or maybe I'll find a used copy at another yard sale. In the meantime, considering how valuable it is, I've decided to put this movie away (It will keep my unopened copies of Speed Racer(Volume 4, the one with the Die-Cast Miniature of the Mach 5 Race Car), the Best Buy Exclusive Disney/Pixar movie Cars (The one with Die-Cast Miniatures of Lightning McQueen, Doc Hudson, Fillmore and Mater) and The Simpsons Movie (Miniatures of Homer, Marge, Lisa and Bart) company.

PS I checked "The Big River" and "Be in Pig Latin" (That's amazon.com and Ebay for those of you in Rio Linda! ) and noticed unopened copies of Volume 4 of Speed Racer going for $15.00 Up. Neither had the Best Buy Edition of Cars or The Simpsons (With Collectables) for sale.
