I think the 20,000 figure for catalog titles is extremely generous.

I'd reckon that most of the titles on that list would be very fortunate to sell two thousand copies. Stores, if they even bother carrying them at all, aren't going to promote the releases. Unless you closely follow lists of upcoming releases, then it's unlikely most people even going to know they're released at all. And how many people have even heard of most of these films?

$24.99 is high, but that's the list price. The actual price is $17.99. So what difference does it make? I thought that fell under "acceptable".

As I've said before, they (studios) should stop considering releases a 'failure' if they don't sell a billion copies their first month out. Some of these take time to be discovered. Disappointed to hear that Legend gave up on their Paramount titles. I hope Lionsgate gets more, since they've been putting them out on Blu-Ray at low prices (got Drop Zone for $9.99 recently- not really 'old' but apparently too old for Paramount to bother with).

Yea, the pre-order price on Amazon is $17.49 for that price I would be tempted to pick up the first couple releases Dark City/Union Station.
