Worst combo movie DVD offering
I think most of us stay away from these combo disc movies often found at places like Target and Walmart, but I stumbled upon a really really bad combo that had me shaking my head a little...

Sure, aliens in both... but, one considered a scifi masterpiece, the other sort of scifi shlock, and both with a bunch of sequels of varying quality that they could have used to combine with both original films.
So, find any questionable "combo" DVD's lately?

I hated the Road Warrior/Mad Max double feature because they're both in Full Frame.
I am annoyed that Paramount seems unwilling to package The Gift/A Simple Plan and Kiss the Girls/Along Came a Spider together. The latter is available in a triple feature, but you have to take Double Jeopardy as well.
There are some Buena Vista ones that bother me. Ruthless People and Down and Out in Beverly Hills is a double feature, but I'd have preferred Ruthless People and Scenes From a Mall. They packed Legend of Drunken Master and Project A 2 together.
Some others I wished they would do:
Everything is Illuminated/Green Street Hooligans
Criminal/Welcome to Collinwood
Deep Rising/Mimic
The Faculty/Roadracers
The Crimson Rivers/Crimson Rivers: Angels of the Apocalypse

I totally love the Christopher Guest movie comb I picked up - Mighty Wind, Waiting for Guffman and Best of Show all together. I'd meant to pick up each eventually and got them all cheap.

Yup, that's the one that immediately came to my mind. Minutes were spent trying to think of what the connection (besides studio) could possibly be, but I got nothin'.

The worst I've seen is "Bad Lieutenant" paired with "Reservoir Dogs."
Granted both feature Harvey Keitel, but "Bad Lieutenant" is a movie that shouldn't be in a double feature pack with any other movie, save for the Nicolas Cage "spiritual" sequel.
Here's another odd one; two great movies that honestly, have no reason to be paired together.

MGM likes throwing Oscar winners together. They both won Best Picture. I've seen a "Best Supporting Actress" two pack with Moonstruck and My Cousin Vinnie

Anything that's Warner Bros. They're all mostly one disc flippers and fullscreen.
The older WB combos were better before they started the above.^^.

Jeez I was looking at these style discs on Amazon and found a few decent ones--normally I poo poo these things bigtime. I think we need a "best combo DVD offering" thread.
I mean if I didn't already own Cloak and Dagger and the Wizard, I would be all over that. LOL.

So they have everything in common except y'know, story and tone.
