Interesting, they've merely tacked an extra movie on to pre-existing 4-movie collections ...

If the Steve Martin collection includes all of the trailers, bonuses for Bowfinger and the Special Edition of Parenthood, then I'll sell my current "Steve Martin Wild and Crazy Comedy Collection" and get this and The Jerk by itself instead.

If not, I'll pass.

The only movies in any of those sets that I've seen are in the Steve Martin set: PARENTHOOD and DEAD MEN DON'T WEAR PLAID. I'm not remotely interested in seeing any of the others. Is THIS the best Universal can do with the library they've got?

Old School collection? CB4 is the only one in there that could possibly be classified as 'old school'. How High was released in December 2001. I guess they didn't want to call it the "Movies Starring Black Guys" Collection.

The Flashback Collection seems like they started to do a Michael J Fox Collection but changed their mind. Swap out Casual Sex and Career Opportunities for The Frighteners and Greedy (two Universal owned MJF movies besides Back to the Future) and you're there.

Looks like 3 discs except for Flashback Comedies which is listed as being 4 discs.

Well, there goes my hope for the Steve Martin Collection. That means it'll be the recent Parenthood/Housesitter Double feature, which as far as I know, has no extras, Disc 2 of the existing Steve Martin Wild and Crazy Comedy Collection with Plaid and Lonely Guy, and the existing DVD of Bowfinger. They could have at least thrown in Sgt. Bilko, just because it's there.

EDIT: I take it back, Universal's website currently lists all the features, perhaps they're flippers. Still, the point about Bilko remains. http://www.nbcuniversalstore.com/detail.php?p=255975

According to Universal's website, it doesn't, but maybe that will change.

I should have listened to myself and re-checked this thread before spending $15 on it. This is literally what the collection includes -- it doesn't even have new disc art! Parenthood/Housesitter is topped with blue paint, the Dead Men/Lonely Guy disc is white and red, identifies itself as Disc 2 and part of the Steve Martin Wild and Crazy Comedy Collection, and Bowfinger has with black lettering on the disc surface. Come on, Universal, you could at least make the discs look the same. Gah. I guess I can sell my Bowfinger DVD, at the very least.
