True Lies, is it OOP?

I'm curious as to what is the story behind this movie. I went to purchase it recently and realized it is not only not available on blu-ray but has only been released in a bare-bones release over a decade ago.

Does anyone know why FOX hasn't revisited this obviously screaming for a special edition film?

James Cameron has been too busy over the years to approve the HD master (same with The Abyss.) He has Spielberg-like control over his films at Fox and that's basically why these haven't been re-released on anamorphic DVD or Blu-Ray.

This may change though and you could see them released to coincide with the home video release of Avatar.

Not surprising, since he's a well-known perfectionist.

At this point, I'm just waiting for the Blu-Ray releases for both of those.
