^ Yeah. I'm not even sure why we call it a "challenge" anyway. It's more of a 40 day "Marathon."

Guess the challenge part has to do with your own personal goal(s) going in. Now about calling it the Holiday movie challenge...

I wonder why my copy of I'll Be Home for Christmas the primary language is French. I have to go back and change it to English.

I never knew what else to call it. The first year only movies counted the 2nd year and on has included pretty much everything.

Is it the Canadian release? Not that that would fully explain it....

You could probably just drop 'movie'. Holiday Challenge sounds perfect. Or substitute 'movie' with 'couch potato'.

Ok, so I'm looking at Numes list from last year and Braveheart is listed as a Christmas movie, but with (??) next to it.

I don't remember anything Christmas about it, but I haven't seen it in a while so I'm asking for a ruling on this one.

Braveheart stretches to fit the optional St. Andrew's Day holiday.

I thought that too, I bought it Sam's Club, I guess they could have gotten a Canadian release. It's weird because even the titles are in French, I've never seen that before either. Of course I'm not one to watch movies in different languages just for the hell of it either.

Just reaching here, but maybe French version on one side and US on the other?

And I was going to say the alternate language would help your checklist, but I guess we don't have that here.

Ok, so after searching for a legitimate copy of this movie for well over a year, I gave up and tried watching it on YouTube last night. The only luck I had was finding it broken up into nine 10 minutes segments. I got all the way through the first 5 only to find that #6 has been deleted due to copyright infringement (only #6???). It picks up again at #7. So, that's 10 minutes missing right after a crucial moment in the movie.
Spoiler:
It's right after Billy goes psycho at the toy store.
I tried some other sites, but had no luck. I might have to call it a loss.

Yeah that's weird. I have some videos on YouTube and 3 of them I used Britney Spears music in a humorous way. Anyway, part 3 was taken down because of copyright infringement yet parts 1 and 2 remain on there. YouTube is weird.

JEFFY POP - you have Star Trek - Friday's Child listed.. What holiday takes place in that ep? Not picking on your list, just curious... I started to watch it, but got distracted, couldn't find a holiday reference in what I saw though...

Yeah, I debated whether to count that. It has been listed in previous years by other participants, so maybe somebody can explain it better than I can. It has to do with the fact that it originally aired in December and the story revolved around the birth of a child, and...I dunno, there may be some other significance, but it came to be known as the Star Trek Christmas episode. If anyone wants me to delete it, let me know. I'm not really "in it to win it," I just happened to watch that episode one night and figured I would count it.

No I don't want you to delete it, that was never the point, I was just curious. I've been a long time Star Trek fan, but that was the first time I've heard that interpretation. Very interesting.

Woo Hoo!

I surpassed my lifetime goal the other day... which is really nothing to brag about since it was only 40. But for me, it was a small victory.

You know I meant to say I surpassed my lifetime goal as well, I forgot that last year I only hit 71 when in 2007 I hit 89. I think I'm at 90 now with no stopping in sight!
