I'll second that request, please. I ended up not being able to go to the rebroadcast. An impromptu family birthday celebration dinner got in the way. What's worse, we ate on the restaurant's patio and I had a clear view of the movie theater that was airing it.

It does suck that it's the first live event I've missed and it's one of the ones unlikely to be released on VOD/DVD.

They've got the rights to do Miami Connection as a VOD. They'll be releasing all of the Crappening movies as VOD except for The Room.

It was part of the Kickstarter campaign.

Excellent news. Thanks. I just assumed since it wasn't in the public domain, it was a one time thing like some of their others. Glad to hear they made a deal for it to be VOD. (It's a shame about The Room, though, as that was a really funny riffing.)

Until 10/31, Amazon has MST3K box sets on sale, 32 + 33 are on sale for 28.99
and many older sets are $25-30.

Thanks for the heads up. Since usually I only buy these when they're well below MSRP, there are many holes in my MST3K collection. This morning I ordered three of the cheapest in this sale: 25th Anniversary set, XX, and XXIII. (The latter of which is currently less than $21!)

I notice that the Gamera set is being sold for a whopping $135-$140! I assume it's now out of print. I figured things were safer on that front now that Shout Factory is handling the releases. Glad I picked that one up last year.

I think this is the first Shout Factory MST3K collection to go OOP. It seems they either got extended or perpetual rights for all the other films, but maybe the Gamera people wanted too much for a longer license.

Got my XXXIV set yesterday (Oct 29) and, as usual, the outer case it mashed due to Shout's inadequate packaging. That aside, I'm enjoying these episodes a lot more than I thought I would.

Interestingly, the upcoming Kino BD/DVD of THE INCREDIBLE 2 HEADED TRANSPLANT contains the Rifftrax commentary as an optional bonus feature.

I'd like to see this happen with more catalog titles.

rifftrax.com is going to be releasing MST3K episodes online every Monday with new intros by Mike. On Nov. 10 Joel will be doing a Reddit AMA to talk about "the future of MST3K."

An interestingly, Best Brains Inc. is no more, with MST3K now controlled by Consolidated Puppets Incorporated.

It seems like something might be happening with our cowtown puppet show.

I've mentioned before, but I've never been able to get into Rifftrax or anything else the crew has done, but I would be all over a reboot of MST3K proper.

I want to agree, but then between Rhino and Shout! they've been putting out the DVDs for over 10 years which means someone is obviously buying them.

I'm not needing anything from the Criterion sale this time, maybe I can direct a few bucks towards this.

They're already up to $100,000. The most Rifftrax has raised is $250,000. I hope this goes well.
