OK, that sounds like a good idea. The problem is that to leave my house I have to have something like pants? to cover my body. Can I get those in the mail room?

Re: DVD shipping question

I plan to sell my wrestling VHSes next. I probably have 70+ of them, I more or less have every single Royal Rumble, Wrestlemania, King of the Ring, Summerslam, and Survivor Series from 1985 - 2005. Again, I don't have the cases, and no it is not because I stoled them. When I bought my wrestling tapes and movie/TV show/wrestling DVDs, I never thought I would sell them, and I threw out the cases because I never used them and they took up too much space.

I wonder how much I can get for my wrestling VHSes. This forum would probably think $20 but I bet ebay thinks $200.

Are you going to ask us in advance about shipping those VHS tapes? I am sure that we can give you some great advice!

Re: DVD shipping question

Yes, how should they be shipped?

I suggest opening up each VHS and removing the actual tape - it's those pesky VHS cases that will substantially add to the cost of shipping.

What did you end up doing with that extra 7 inches or so of space?

I don't use my cases much either. Wait, I do use them to store and protect my movies. And occasionally I build a fort out of them.

I guess I'll keep my cases (until I sell them on ebay).

How would one go about shipping VHS cases?

LOL. And make sure to film the mailroom's reaction. And post it on YouTube.

You think it is that much? I guess it could be about that. Regardless, if you ahve 200 vhs tapes, you would have to have some serious deficiencies to be worried about the thickness of the carboard sleeves. And back then, they actually served a purpose, and werent worthless like the slip sleeves we get now.

Re: DVD shipping question

That would be like 1mm on each side? 1mm x 2 sides x 70 VHS Tapes = 140mm or 14cm = 5.5ish inches.

I'm surprised nobody recommended placing them in an empty blank cd spindle case and putting that in a box? Assuming this was a real question.

When it comes time to mail the VHS tapes, to get the maximum "protection to thickness avoidance ratio" correct, I recommend toilet paper. Single ply. Non quilted. sandpaper rough.

But then, he did recently trade his wii for a ps3...

What a strange, but welcome bump. Should I just put them in a bag and say you handle it? He hasn't posted here in a long time, so my guess is that he took those dvds to the post office and they stuffed him in the bag. Never to be seen again.
