Journeyman - When, If Ever on DVD?
When, oh, when are they going to release the cancelled NBC series Journeyman on DVD? I'm still bitter that they yanked such a terrific show before giving it a full run, but a DVD set of the 12-or-so episodes might help soothe me somewhat.
I just don't understand why it was cancelled. I'm a sucker for anything time travel related, but this was a just a great show.

I am waiting for this as well, it is a great show, at least a full season would have been nice, these are the types of programs I watch and they are also the type that no one seems to watch, they are too busy watching another cop/doctor or court show, at least it has a complete enough story to own, no cliffhanger ending.
I wonder if this could also be a Blu-Ray release, I would have to buy that, either one will do.

I know this isn't the same, but Journeyman is free to watch on Hulu---all 13 episodes.

NBC doesn't own this show. 20th Century FOX produced it and I don't think this show is high on their priority list of TV on DVD's.
For the last time, 4 main reasons why it was cancelled:
1) The WGA Strike
2) Timeslot. Competed against CSI Miami and The Bachelor. Finished 3rd everytime.
3) Losing a huge chunk of it's leadin's audience (Heroes was averaging 13M viewers in the Monday at 9pm timeslot at the time. Journeyman was getting around 6M) People were changing the channel.
4) 20th Century FOX terminated Kevin Falls, JM's creator, production contract because of the WGA strike, which essentially was the nail in the coffin.

Re: Journeyman - When, If Ever on DVD?
This was a fantastic show that never got a chance to catch on. I was hoping for a DVD release also but I think the best chance for that would have been if it was released soon after the series ended. As time passes, there's probably much less incentive for them to release a series that was cancelled, because they probably wouldn't realize as many sales. Probably just us diehards! I can't help but think also that if it wasn't a strike year, perhaps there would have been more of a chance of the series catching on with Fox or another network the following season, before all of the key players moved on with their careers.
