Cybertron Philippines has pics of a transforming Bumblebee case. I'd say there's a good chance it'll be released in North America as well. They also have pictures of the steelbook case.

Strange how I mentioned that they may have a Bumblebee transforming case back on August 20th.

Now hopefully they'll have it here in the U.S. as well.

Target is going to be the one that carries the Bumble-Bee transforming case in the U.S.

Available for either DVD or Blu-Ray.

I would think Xage would know this, if not someone else, but what were the transforming cases issued for the first transformers movie? I know of Optimus and Megatron, were there any others?

*EDIT* Nevermind, I found the answer in the HD discussion of the disc.

Maybe I missed something but I am confused.

If Wal-Mart has an exclusive extended edition with IMAX footage included does this mean the regular disc (blu or standard) doesn' have the IMAX footage? Or it has the footage but "un-IMAXed"? I had assumed the disc would follow the Dark Knight method of just switching aspect ratios.

This, I assume. Just like the DVD for "The Dark Knight" did.

I got the 1-disk yesterday, no extras and no commentary here! Just bare bones.

Hey, I heard that some scenes have been altered for home video. One poster at IMDB even insists that an F-bomb was added. And the Professor Colon line has been supposedly been dumped. Don't know much other details yet but if anyone with an advance copy can check and confirm, it'd be cool.

UPDATE: Just saw the back cover artwork and the bottom of the box states: "Some dialogue has been changed from the theatrical version".

Re: Transformers Revenge of the Fallen---Oct 20th

I noticed these two WM sets, which were described earlier in this thread. However, does this $15.86 version also contain the IMAX scenes, or just the $20.86 version?

The $15.86 version is simply described as a 2-disc WM exclusive, while the $20.86 is more descriptive and mentions the extended scenes.

DVD: Transformers 2: Revenge Of The Fallen (Exclusive) (Widescreen)

DVD: Transformers 2: Revenge Of The Fallen (Wal-Mart Exclusive Big Screen Edition) (2-Disc Special Collector's Edition) (Widescreen)

I assume the DVD includes it too - while the title just says exclusive, the coverart shows Big Screen Edition

ok cool.

I just found it too good to be true: it seems like this 2-disc WM exclusive ($15.86) has the IMAX scenes and bonus features, all for the same price as the 1-disc everywhere else.

if so, definitely getting it. Hopefully that's not just an online only price.

EDIT: for the 1-disc buyers, Overstock.com has the DVD version for $9.99 ($2.95 shipping)

so DVD is getting the shifting aspect ratio version via wal mart? but they are also carrying the 2 disc Regular Widescreen version?

Can someone clarify? Help would be apprectiated.

Re: Transformers Revenge of the Fallen---Oct 20th

After thinking about it, I wonder if that $15.86 is actually a single disc IMAX exclusive version. And possibly that banner on the top of the DVD cover art is just an error?

I know it might have been posted somewhere, but I'm unable to find it. Best Buy is doing the Door Buster on Transformers 2 at 10 am tomorrow, right?

That's correct. I made sure to read the fine print in the print ad that came yesterday.

Apparently the BD has a shifting aspect ratio. Haven't watched my DVD yet, but we went to Wal-Mart earlier and my buddy bought the BD, and we went to his place and watched it. He remarked that he would swear the aspect ratio changed, but I didn't notice. Seeing your post kind of confirms it. I'll have to watch my DVD now and see if it's on there, too.

By way of prices, it was a pretty sweet deal. Wal-Mart had the BD for $19.96, and the PJ's coupon took it down to $16.96.
