Re: No love for Terrytoons on dvd?
There's tons of 1930s Terrytoons that have been unseen for decades. I remember seeing one as a kid entitled "Robinson Crusoe's Broadcast" from 1938. It's in b&w. Those are the Terrytoons I want.
Heck, the Woody Woodpecker set included some early Walter Lantz b&w cartoons, including some Oswald the Rabbit. That's what I want more of.

John Woo was hired to direct a Mighty Mouse film back around 2003. I'd imagine that project has fallen through, but Paramount and Nickelodeon Movies are still considering a Mighty Mouse movie.
Anyhow, the Terrytoons are owned by Viacom/Paramount, except for Mighty Mouse, who is owned by their sister company CBS Operations (Sumner Redstone owns both Viacom and CBS, FYI).
There was a release of Mighty Mouse: The New Adventures (produced by Ralph Bakshi with some early work by John K. of Ren & Stimpy fame and some folks who later went on to work for Pixar) last year, and it had three vintage Mighty Mouse cartoons as extras.
Noted animation historian Jerry Beck has said that they're remastering a bunch of Mighty Mouse cartoons in anticipation of the character's 70th anniversary next year, so maybe well see something then, provided that the world doesn't end
