Upcoming "Scream" Triple Pack Question
Does anyone know if this Triple pack will feature an ANAMORPHIC TRANSFER (at long last) of Scream 1?
And will they all be the 3 SEs from the Scream box set?
Just curious if anyone has any info.

Re: Upcoming "Scream" Triple Pack Question
The "Scream" 3-pack in Canada by Alliance Releasing is not only non-anamorphic but all three films are 1.33:1 Full Screen to boot!
I guess the $11.99 price is right, but no thanks!

I foresee special editions of these films coming out right before Scream 4 eventually comes out. At least of the first one, which is in dire need of a SE.

Re: Upcoming "Scream" Triple Pack Question
Last Halloween Wal-mart had this Scream Trilogy for 14 bucks...I almost bought it one night, but didn't. Next time I went back it was after Halloween and it was gone. Haven't seen it anywhere since.
I've since found the "Ultimate" set with the 4th disc used for about the same price...so I won't be buying it again unless it's an anamorphic DC cut

Re: Upcoming "Scream" Triple Pack Question
Well, that answers the question I've had. Can definitely skip this then. I assume the Halloween triple pack is the same way: The titles that were non-anamorphic before still are.
I was wondering about these because The Secret of My Success was re-released as part of a Michael J. Fox triple pack, and the original 4:3 transfer apparently got upgraded to 16:9.
But, with a new Scream trilogy in the works, I would be surprised if all three of the originals weren't revisited. Would gladly double dip.

Re: Upcoming "Scream" Triple Pack Question
The reason Universal's sets have new transfers and other studios' don't is because Universal often puts two films on a disc. Since compression is different, they do a new transfer.

Kevin Williamson twittered awhile back that he was asked to go back to participate in new commentaries and special features for a blu-ray release close to 'Scream 4' going to theaters.

I'm hoping that they'll release "Scream" in its unrated cut on Blu. I'd buy that in a heartbeat.
Though, I can see them only releasing this on Blu as a "trilogy" of all three movies. Which case, I'd probably pass since I didn't particularly care for the sequels.

I would gladly buy these movies again, especially on Blu. I can't believe these films have never been revisited, especially considering some of the crap that gets multiple editions. I would love to see the uncut version of the first film, but I guess these films still fall under Disney/Buena Vista.
