Wow, that was a sudden announcement, that's only a day away. How come no one else seems to carry this? Also, what's with the high price tag of $40? I settled on the UK 2-disc months ago. Looking down the list, Che parts 1 and 2 are also on the same day, same distributor, "101 Distribution" same price.

They say "import" but an import from where?

Canada? French subtitles are included on the dvd in addition to english.

E1 has Canadian rights to Gomorrah and Che (among other titles). Still no distribution in the US for either (although Che will be a Criterion title one day).

Strange pricing though! Gomorrah is $27.99 US dollars on Amazon.com or $21.99 CDN dollars on Amazon.ca

The 5th is a Wednesday though.

Great, hard-hitting movie, btw.

It looked good from the trailer I saw when I rented The Chaser (great by the way).

I saw it available in stores today slop101. Blockbuster was also renting it here.

Good film regardless (I imported the R2 DVD)...

The U.S. release is part of IFC's exclusive deal with Blockbuster. It will only be available there to rent for the next 90 days or so before it gets a retail release thru Genius Entertainment.
