Just like all the workers at the mom and pop video stores BBI drove out of business with their slimey tactics (Super low rental prices until mom and pop are out of business, then raise to high price, force studios into deals, etc...)

Good point.

Funny story, there are pretty much no Blockbusters around me because Family Video has pretty much driven them out. A year ago there were 2 Blockbusters, a Hollywood Video (directly across the street) and another mom & pop store. Hollywood was the first to go then the Blockbuster and finally the mom & pop store last month. Simply because Family Video has the best prices around (aside from Redbox or Netflix)

i know at the blockbuster store i work at we didn't receive miss march and dragonball evolution until tuesday afternoon with our ups. as for my store we had 2 of miss march, 3 dragonball evolution, and about 8 green lantern dvds to rent. so maybe the store near you just received them late as well.

Checked this thread just because I thought the reason would be for some sort of offensive content in the movie, since Blockbuster is a "family video store". A bunch of Blockbusters here have closed up, just a few more to go! (Hey, if it happened to Tower, then it's gotta happen to Blockbuster. It's only fair.)

this movie was pretty funny, one of the better raunchy comedies to come out in awhile based on the ending I wonder if we might see a sequel ??

I picked this up from Family Video tonight... hilarious. I don't get all the hatred towards this.

Blockbuster is a bunch of crooks. They should all close.

I do, from a local store that has rent 1 get 1 on release Tuesdays for only $3, so works out to $1.50 a movie. There are obviously those rental boxes which can be even cheaper but none of those in my area yet.

The only time I rent from Blockbuster is when I got a coupon that makes it free.

I use Blockbuster Online, in which I get 5 free in-store exchanges per month with my plan that I use pretty much exclusively for new releases....between that and the free rentals coupons I get (mostly from complaining about problems), I haven't actually paid for a rental at the store in a few years....
The store is only about a minute away from my house, so it is much faster and easier to return the discs there whether or not I am making an exchange....if I didn't live so close to a location, I probably wouldn't continue to deal with their headaches...
