Close or around 2,000 easily.

Just in my purge since going Blu my collection has gone from around 1,500 to now around 700.

Selling hundeds of titles. THOUSANDS? That is quite amazing... How can one be so uncertain of a hobby, as to have had to sell thousands of titles (probably at a GREAT financial loss, as most DVD certainly don't increase in value)?

I've sold a few dozen titles and currently own about 1100 titles. I have never given away a single title... Even if it's an old edition and I upgrade to the Blu-ray, why GIVE it away when I spent good money on acquiring that movie in the first place, and that older title will still work and play acceptably in all my DVD players?

sadly none I just hate to get rid of them because I put so much money into building my collection, I'll have to eventually to maintain storage space.

Several hundred...no way I could determine an exact number. Lately, I have only been unloading sealed and/or OOP discs on Amazon since they tend to fetch a higher amount. Most used titles aren't worth the effort to list and ship, but I would consider a bulk sale if I ever found myself extremely desperate for cash.

Probably around 100-200 over the years. Mostly due to upgrading from what I remember. Also have probably just given around 20 away to family and friends.

Probably about 150.

I've only given away about 12.

Re: How Many DVDs Have You Sold/Gotten Rid Of?

Probably between 150-250 in the 10+ years I've been into this medium.

I've mostly trimmed down impulse buys that I would never watch again, some TV on DVD that I would never watch on again and upgrades.

I've never gotten rid of a movie that I truly cared about.

And I've never sold DVD's because I was desperate for cash because the money you earn from selling them to places like FYE is so insignificant.

Not counting when I had to sell a few off films I liked a few years ago? Not too many, sometimes it is not even worth it, like I upgraded Spider-Man to Blu-Ray, no extras really on those, and they are not even worth anything to sell, just hang on it to. I mostly buy what I know I like, I did pick up a couple films the other day at the pawn shop I had never seen for a couple dollars each.
