Best (recent) DVD viewing experience?

So i finally popped in my DVD of "RENT: Filmed Live on Broadway". i was waiting till i had the house all to myself so i could blast it. last night was the perfect time as i did blast it.

it was such a aural and emotional experience. i've seen it 4 or so times on Broadway and loved it everytime. i am not sure why it resonates so much with me because i have never had anyone close or even knew anyone afflicted with HIV. but, the songs and the love stories (both opposite and same sex) and life lessons is just too damn powerful to not be stunned.

i watched the final performance as if i were there...almost that is. the DVD really created an intimate setting where even watching it on the small screen still moved.

it was tremendous and i sat glued just like the times i saw it live and got emotional just like the times i saw it live. just unbelievable.

then, i watched the little extras. it wasn't much, but it was right and enough to make the experience that much more enjoyable. i loved the hell out of this DVD and the exhilaration carried over to today.

so what recent DVD viewing experiences gave you an overall feeling that the DVD or set or package was truly worth it?

The Good, The Bad, The Wierd:

a film where all the elements felt so wonderfully intertwined - fun characters, a zany plot, imaginative camera work/editing. The DVD also features a great 5.1 soundmix that pulled me into the action. It also helped that I popped a delicious bag of microwave popcorn.
