Horror/Genre Films that need a good R1 release

I know there are several "what are you waiting for" threads but this is is strictly for Horror. With The Stepfather and The Gate (hopefully in WS) coming out finally. I wondered what movies still need a good R1 DVD release.
I will start out with these
Creepshow (needs a SE like the R2 release)
Trick or Treat (needs a 16x9 release)
House 3
House 4

I don't think the orignal "Scream" ever came out anything more than an audio commentary.

Halloween II certainly needs a special edition.

TerrorVision (1986)
The Video Dead (1987)
The Uninvited (1944)
Island of Lost Souls (1932)

They don't have any release in R1, let alone a good one.

Did it ever receive an anamorphic widescreen release? I think that's the reason I don't own it. I have the uncut version on laser disc with the extra 19 seconds.

Re: Horror/Genre Films that need a good R1 release

Island Claws (terrible giant crab film, but my grandfather stars in it!)
Humanoids from the Deep (WS and uncut)

I agree with many of the above selections, especially TerrorVision, Halloween II/III: SE, Fright Night/II SE's and The Gate II.

But I'm happy to see we're getting some much-requested titles this year.

Nope. Scream never did get an anamorphic release. That's also why I don't own it.

A R1 Night of the Eagle SE with Kim Newman commentary would be nice.

A decent release in any region of the original DAY OF THE TRIFFIDS is needed.

Re: Horror/Genre Films that need a good R1 release

With Scream 4 now happening... maybe they will finally do a new release of the original trilogy. Ill buy it on BD if they release it with new extras and uncut.

Faster pacing, no Italian-language comedy and romance scenes -- with all the good violence and horror scenes intact (including the background motion end credits); available in Region 2.
