Nothing this week (aside from reasonably priced DVDs). I am looking forward to the 21st though.

Criterion postponed the July release date for the set in mid June. The new street date is September 8.

Me too, missed this one, will likely break my rule and pay first week prices. Great movie, so much better than the horrible Quarantine.

I really thought Quarantine holds up nicely on it's own. I definitely wouldn't call it horrible.

Ohhh, I didn't know that comes out on Tues. Have to add that to my wish-list for the DDD sale.

Also, I may blind-buy Leverage.

No new releases this week but I did pick up
Cadillac Records, and may get another DVD during the week
for a cheap price.

None because I have already spent way too much on DVD's this month but my list is already growing for a future purchase.

I agree with a line in a review here comparing the two. ""Quarantine" is the unavoidable American replica, only this version has ingested a bottle of idiot pills and washed it all down with a full glass of directorial incompetence. "

Edit to add: Actually, I completely agree with Brian's review (this time). Here's his summation: "there's no reason to return to this story, since Hollywood has drained the tension away, replacing Spanish innovation with American stupidity."

Same for me.

Also, I'll most likely Netflix Mad Men and GI Joe. Worst case scenario, I'll just purchase both during DD's sale.

Fortunately, nothing to tempt me ... so I can muster the resources for any sales (ahem!) that might start later in the week.
