MASH Complete Series Set

I would like to get a complete series of MASH, but I've read about the Martinis And Medicine collection where most of the discs in every order is in some way scratched and doesn't play every episode. In a review of it, the person said to get the individual season release or the previous complete series set. What previous complete series set ? I have only seen the Martinis And Medicine collection. Is there another complete series collection ? This kind of problem really bugs me about the Charmed complete series. It has similar packaging and I really want the cool "book of shadows" box, but don't want scratched discs.

I bought this used on Half.com, and my discs are scratched but they play all the way through without a hitch.

I think part of the problem is the big Martinis set has all the discs in paper sleeves and that could scratch them. After I saw my aunt's copy opened up, I went bought the original releases used.

I think some people are scratching their discs on the way out of the pockets. If you separate the disc from the pocket while you gently slide out the disc so there is no contact, you won't get any further scratching (if their was any initially). I have all my discs in slim jewel cases now and I've watched through season 5 or so with no problems. My discs have minimal damage.
