Hardbodies is one of the greatest movies ever made. The sequel is hardly related to the original, though it does have one of the best opening credit sequences in film history.

It's about time. I can't wait. Hardbodies is one of my all time favorite guilty pleasures.
I was going to put both parts on a DVD-R last week but never got around to it.

I always saw these movies in my local video store back in the 80's as a kid, but I wasn't allowed to rent R rated movies back then, especially with a theme like this.

Would this set be a good blind buy for anyone who likes cheesy T&A sex comedies?

^ definately yes (for the first one, haven't seen the sequel). The montage sex scene is the highlight of the movie.

"it's soooo big! can I touch it?"

Re: Hardbodies/Hardbodies II double feature >> 8/18/09

The original is a fun piece of 80s T&A cheese. It does a great job of capturing the 80s California "beach scene". Definitely one of my guilty pleasures and I'll be happy to finally get it on DVD.

The sequel is rather strange. It swaps out the 80s beach vibe for an 80s euro-trash vibe. It's sort of a sequel, but not really... All in all, it's not nearly as fun as the first, but it has its moments. I wouldn't pick it up on its own, but it's a nice bonus if I'm already getting the original.

Same.

Anchor Bay is also putting out Spring Break the same day.

Hmm- Spring Break was also from Columbia- did Anchor Bay get a deal with them? Hopefully they won't cut the Columbia Pictures opening logos from these.

Hardbodies 2 was from CineTel Films (a B-studio) but Columbia put out the first home video release of that title. Platinum Disc Corporation (before they changed their name) was supposed to put out a DVD of that a few years ago but I never saw it come out.

"I don't pay for sex."

"And I don't fuck fossils for free."

I have no idea why I remember that...maybe it's because he sings it later.
