Sweet. I'm glad I didn't bother with the individual volumes.

I hope my patience is equally rewarded with Wolverine and the X-Men.

I'll be buying for sure. Wish there were more extras like with the MTV series.

When did this show start and what network is it on? I bought the MTV series when it came out a few years ago.

This isn't the MTV series. It's the one that just finished it's second season.

It started on CW and went to Disney

I'm glad I didn't buy those dumbass 3-4 episode volume sets. This is what they should have put out in the first place, but better late than never. I'm definitely going to get this.

Putting out the individual volumes got kids to buy them and now they can sell the show to the rest of us, so it's more money in the bank for them.

I agree that the animation could stand to be a bit more refined (it's somewhat rough-around-the-edges), however, that's more than made up for by the fantastic action, the witty banter, the continuity, and the general spirit of the early comics.

That SRP is a bit high, though! Basically $2 per episode, and my general rule of thumb on making tv-on-dvd purchases is to not go over $1 per episode. Might have to wait for a possible fall sale, even though the temptation to get this right away will be strong.

And finally, the 1960's series is still my favorite and probably always will be.

I'd say it's more Kim Possible-ish.

I prefer the Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends style. People look human.

That's funny because most Spider-man fans hate that series. I like it. But I would say SSM is leaps and bounds better. Plus I always hated how the MTV series ended on a cliffhanger.

It had good continuity until the show was unfortunately canceled...Out of all the Spiderman cartoons, it's the only one in which they actually are creative with the action scenes. How's the action and stories in SSM?

I've yet to see SSM but the FOX cartoon Spider-Man series was good. Not as good as the X-Men was but it was entertaing. No idea why people even mention the MTV one...it was absolutely horrid.
