I have never had such a hard time finding a slipcover in good condition. Every single slipcover at my Best Buy was either torn up, scratched, or falling apart. The slipcover I got was the best they had, and even it is in awful condition.

im guessing you can place that blame on criterion, as their new, more eco-friendly paper packaging is not only biodegradable, it degrades just sitting on your shelf too.

I got mine through Columbiahouse but if you are not a member there Deepdiscount has the 2-disk Criterion for $19.99 with free shipping.

Re: The Curious Case of Benjamin Button 5/5/09
Sorry if this has been asked. Is there a difference in the transfer/mastering between the 1 disc and 2 disc criterion sd dvds? Is Disc 1 of the Criterion the same as the 1 disc dvd?

Re: The Curious Case of Benjamin Button 5/5/09
Good question. Not sure if the transfers are the same but the Criterion has a commentary that the single disc doesn't. So not the same disc.
Just got through watching the documentary. The best I've seen for a high profile film in years. |

I don't understand these company executives making packaging more eco-friendly. If you are going to do that, then why even include a slipcover in the first place? Same thing goes with those flimsy-as-shit, less-plastic packages they are using now. Do they even realize that when I get a package like that, I immediately remove the cover art and disc, throw it away, and put it in a sturdy case? I have never thrown away a case before; if anything, I imagine the transition had produced more waste than ever before as far as DVD packaging is concerned.

Are the special features on the 2 disc and blu-ray the same or are there any exclusive features?

This was a great 2-disk set. Great commentary and absolutely amazing documentary. One of the best making of's in years.

Re: The Curious Case of Benjamin Button 5/5/09
Got mine from Wherehouse sans slipcover. A little bit upset about that.

Re: The Curious Case of Benjamin Button 5/5/09
I was in Best Buy earlier and noticed they had the 2-disc set for $14.99. It's also that price on their website.
