I missed it in the theaters. It's a no-brainer for me, I absolutely love Van Damme, always have. Bloodsport is like my Citizen Kane.

Although I'm kind of pissed there are abslutely zero special features on JCVD.

It's a remake so I knew the ending going in. That being said, I still really liked it. It surprised me, honestly.

The region-free UK Blu-ray includes a documentary and featurette. Here's a review.

Will do...planning on watching over the weekend w/my cousin. It looks like a good movie to watch w/alcohol in the system.

I went to Borders tonight (50% off dvds and cds) and picked up Sukiyaki Western Django (steelbook) for $7. It was priced at $20, but I showed an employee the website price of $14 and he took the 50% off that.

I also just place a SS order for The Shield S.5, Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning (I'm not expecting much here) and Furia (Alexandre Aja's first film)...all for $20.

It's been a big day in dvd land...on top of all of that I just got my shipping email from Warner Bros....but that order is just crazy. I'll post it here when it arrives. Pretty unbelievable.

well, this is a very big step up from his early works. i mean those were mindless fun, but this is a real movie and he does some real acting if you know what i mean. no disrespect to his early works, but this is his "The Wrestler" (though TW was superior and far more powerful).

Re: What's The Latest DVD You Bought (Part V)

Finally picked up Watchmen:TOTBF (steelbook) and the LA Confidential special edition. I must be one of the few suckers that bought TOTBF. Almost every BB in my area has plenty of copies of the steelbook available.

Re: What's The Latest DVD You Bought (Part V)

Normally I don't care too much about packaging, but these are w/ the spilcovers & well worth finding, they are much nicer than the regular DVDs that seem to be shipping to everyone from Amazon.
