I saw that they mentioned Paul Schrader. It made me think: who owns the rights to Blue Collar? If that movie were to be released by CC it would make me all sorts of happy. I second that, if Criterion released that I'd be PSYCHED. Pryor and Keitel are fantastic. |

As for the Before Sunrise/ Before Sunset is also on the way. I am not sure who is releasing it. I saw proofs by designer Marc English (Austin based graphic artist who did the DVD art for both Dazed and Confused and Slacker). Based on the proofs (though no criterion logo on the set), it would seem that they are also being released by Criterion. |

Does any body remember hearing about a 6 hour version of Thin Red Line? I'd love to see this get the Criterion treatment, because the first release was pretty barebones...

maybe Criterion can work out a deal with Warners/New Line to port over all the extras they had created for the laserdisc of Menace II Society and release that on DVD/bluray.

More than anything else I can think of right now, I would like to see 'One Eyed Jacks' and 'Ironweed' finally given the Criterion treatment.

I hope the Zabriskie Point rumor turns out to be correct - Soderbergh gives good commentary. I had planned on buying the WB disc during the May sale, but I'll just Netflix it now.

I'd pee myself for a Criterion Badlands and McCabe & Mrs. Miller. I love the idea for Pretty Maids All In A Row. I'd be in line for any of these.
The Fountain would be nice too. Really WB has so many great titles. |

It would certainly do good to some of their oldest cartoons. 1- Criterion does have a relationship with Disney - They released The Rock and Armageddon and Disney released last year both films on Blu-ray with all the Criterion extras. 2- Disney has done an excellent job releasing their old cartoons. The Treasure series is as good as it get and I highly doubt that they'll give Criterion the license of something they can release themselves. |
