Telefon finally hits DVD 5/19!
Charles Bronson fans should be happy to find out that, according to The Digital Bits, WB is releasing a double feature DVD of the currently unavailable Telefon alongside the currently available St. Ives on 5/19.
As a big fan of Bronson who owns his entire R1 catalog, and some multi-region/bootleg titles, this is great news. Odd how WB is slipping this in under the radar as a double feature DVD alongside about 5 more previously-issues double feature titles on the same day. Still, I'm sure we can at least expect an anamorphic transfer and DD 2.0. I'm fine with that.

I haven't seen Telefon since I rented it on VHS 25+ years ago. I recall it was a damn good Bronson movie. Wasn't Bronson KGB in this film?

Cool...I've been on a Charles Bronson kick of late so I'll get it.

^ Because it makes sense and it's badass. Don't you know those 2 things turn off studios?
I also don't know how you can call 2 films a "collection".

Do they have to pay the artist of the original poster art again if they use that cover?
Maybe that's why studios use those crappy cut & paste artwork for dvd covers.

Most probabably not. There may be a select few current artists who retain rights to their artwork. As long as you use the original poster or photo from the film there is no cost. New artwork featuring a star would have a cost attached since stars own/control their likeness. For new artwork you need their permission and would have to compensate them.

WB will probably put a picture of Bronson's armpit on the disc, too.
