I was pleasantly surprised that the Flair Legends DVD shows Flair's entrance and Halloween Havoc '89 and also includes Tommy Young climbing the Thunderdome cage to put out a fire. LOL I remembered that from seeing it on pay-per-view and was hoping it was included.

It's not really much of a censorship matter - they aren't legally obligated to do it, they just choose to not show Rey's face, and have avoided putting his post-mask removal WCW work on DVDs, and also blurred his face in photos in his 619 DVD.

The "legends" disc, I believe. Has Austin, Warrior, Piper, Slaughter, HHH's blueblood, Mr. Perfect, Undertaker, Jake the Snake and the Rock's themes.

WWE makes more $ from sales of Rey's mask than any other merch except for Cena. Like everything else in life, it's all about the benjamins.

Having the misfortune of being with Time Warner Cable...I don't get WWE 24/7. Watching 3 of the Legends of Wrestling DVDs last night was my first chance to see the roundtable discussions hosted by Jim Ross. I loved them and really enjoyed the interaction with the panel members. I don't think I ever heard that story about Dick Slater putting Sting & the Ultimate Warrior's heads in the toilet...when Mike Graham mentioned it I thought it was probably bs....but JR confirmed the story saying he was there the night it happened. I'd highly recommend these to former fans who miss the old days...some great matches...but the roundtables are excellent.

Of interest to some older fans...I posted this in the bargain forum section...but I'll mention it here. After I picked up the Legends of Wrestling DVDs at Best Buy and the new CD I stopped by the 99 Cents Only Store. They have the soft cover Billy Graham book Tangled Ropes. I've heard the book is a good read and for 99 cents you can't go wrong. They had a bunch at the store I went to...but with 99 Cents Only Stores it's always YMMV.

My 6 Legends of Wrestling dvds have shipped from Best Buy less than 24 hours after getting a backorder notice. Really looking forward to checking these out.

Was just wondering as I just purchased the last SummerSlam Anthology digipack (2003-2007) online but is Chris Benoit's mentioned in the match listings?

Yea, his name is mentioned inside the digipack.

According to PWInsider, the Best Buy exclusives are volumes 1-3, and 4-6 are the ones in the package sold in other stores. Is this true? I thought 4-6 were the exclusives.

I'm in the same situation. Not sure why Time warner continues to hold out on 24/7, I thought it was only a matter of time when comcast picked it up.

As for the dvd's. I hope they release the other episodes. Whether it's a WWE.com exclusive, best buy or a worldwide release. I would just love to have them all.

Hmmm, Greatest Stars of the 90s doesn't look too bad. I think I'd buy it just for "Steve Austin remembers the Shockmaster". NICE!

WOW.

Again...WOW.

As someone who started watching wrestling in 1991, this is a dream set for me. There's so much stuff here that I've always wanted to see on DVD and never thought I would. What's even more amazing is that it mixes WWF AND WCW matches in there. A few points:

-The documentary looks like it's going to cover a lot of points, even if it's only five minutes or so per point.

-The vignettes are a nice bonus.

-The FIRST...count it, FIRST match ever between Ric Flair and Hulk Hogan (unless I'm missing a house show). It's nice to see them start the 90's by showing the end of the 80's, which of course in the wrestling world didn't happen until around 1993.

-The much-unseen first ppv match between Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels. Awesome.

-I have always wanted to see Hulk Hogan vs. Yokozuna from KOTR on DVD, but never thought we would. It wasn't going to be on a Hogan DVD, there's not going to be a Yokozuna DVD. This is such an important match because it truly signigies the dawning of a new era. I'm beyond excited for this one.

-Diesel vs. Razor Ramon...classis 90's.

-Any match with Sting is great. Any match with Vader is great. Any match with both is a real treat.

-All of the Bret Hart/Diesel matches were amongst Nash's best. I know that's not saying much, but these mere classic David/Goliath confrontations.

-Speaking of which...Shawn Michaels vs. Vader.

-The double-header match is also a real treat.

-Luger wins! Luger wins! See Hogan's one-year title run end at the hands of Lex Luger. This was one of their biggest confrontations, a match which pretty confused everyone as to why it wasn't on ppv.

-Dream match alert: Sting vs. Bret Hart.

This is the most excited I've been for a WWE compilation in a long time. I am very psyched.

agreed! another awesome set for 2009.

Also looking forward to the Best of SNME, that looks like another must have.

Great news, according to KOCH's website, WWE are releasing a 3 disc Randy Savage DVD called: MACHO MADNESS: THE ULTIMATE RANDY SAVAGE COLLECTION releasing on June 9.

Usually KOCH doesn't make mistakes, but sounds great!
