"Sin City" ...theatrical or extended?

I plan on watching this tonight, but not sure which cut i want to see, the theatrical or the extended. i've seen the extended once before and know the new scenes a bit and remember it just didn't play so well as the theatrical because it loses the title card shot with the music at the beginning which i love among other things, but i did like the added scenes including Marv and his mom which is why i do want to pop it in and watch the separated cuts.

so want to decide via vote...which do you prefer?

Watch the theatrical cut and after thats done go and watch the extra scenes by fast-forwarding toward them.

Extended is fun to have, but not essential.

Watch the green-screen version. then you'll still have plenty of time to watch another movie.

^ Too bad they edit out the best Carla Gugino shots in the green-screen version.

The theatrical version is more fun and the best version in my opinion. So I'd watched that over anything else.

I like both but the theatrical is the way to go I think. I enjoyed the extended bits but it doesnt add that much to improve over the film.

Was the worst movie I had ever seen either way until I saw Grindhouse.

So, you hated the movie so much that you decided to later watch a longer version of it?

Well, one of the poll choices was to watch something else instead. That is my answer. Watch a Lifetime movie or go see a highschool play. Both are better.

Theatrical has a much better flow to it.

Exactly. For anyone who has never seen the movie, I always tell them to watch the theatrical version, especially with the bookending of the Josh Hartnett story. That was one of the things in the movie that I absolutely loved. Usually when I watch it now, I'll watch the extended versions in the same order as the theatrical release.

Re: "Sin City" ...theatrical or extended?

Prefer the theatrical. I don't think the extended ads much, and it looses something by rejoining that one story together. Work better as is.
