Welcome to DVD Talk. Wrong forum though; probably belongs in the Movie Talk Forum. Didn't realize they were making a sequel to this...wonder what it'll be about and if it'' have the original cast.

This is a straight to DVD release with a new cast, so it belongs here.

I think chloeclover is a studio schill because he/she has posted something similar on another forum I frequent (and doing a Google search, others as well) about Without a Paddle 2. Of course, it doesn't make this thread invalid since I don't think another one had been made, but just a head's up.

I do apologize if he/she is just excited about the release and can't wait to spread the word...

It's a dirty job, but someone has to spread the word about this impending masterpiece.

Ah I didn't realize it was a Straight-to-DVD Movie. And wow, it looks simply awful. That cover is terrible. I actually liked the original, not the best movie, but not terrible either.

Sure it does. You can't just come here and advertise your stuff. And it's clearly an attempt at deception--pretending to be someone you're not in order to promote something. Both of those ideas violate the rules of the forums. Do you really want 1,000 posts like this from all the studios about all their movies, DVD releases, Blu-ray releases, promotions, tie-ins, etc., etc., etc., and then stores, too?
People pay for advertising on this site. The OP should be tracked down and forced to pay advertising fees. Collectively, the studio should be sued by all the forums and sites for violating their terms and abusing their policies to get free advertising, and for fraudulently doing so.
I'm a little angry that I even know this movie exists now. I would have been happier if it just passed under my radar into oblivion.

Yeah if it's a studio hack, this is a spam thread and should be zapped.

Hey guys! I'm so excited about this great release. Without a paddle 2 is sure to become a great classic and the first in many great 20th Century Fox sequels on dvd.

I am also enjoying The day the earth stood still and Meet Dave (both available from 20th Century Fox on DVD & BluRay). And am looking forward to Home alone coming to Bluray on 12/23/08. Be sure to check it out and let me know what you think!

thanks for that, valeyard! I needed something to laugh and be happy about today when I'm hiding from the negative-double-digit temperatures outside.

...and yeah, this is so obviously a plant. Why hasn't this thread been deleted yet?

Is it really so unbelievable that someone loves the first Without a Paddle movie and are so excited to check out the next one? Yes, I suppose it is.

Now I'm not a big fan of the Mummy movies. I saw the first one, it was alright, but not worth me checking out the sequels. But this guy comes and posts how excited he is for the Direct-to-DVD Without A Paddle Sequel, obviously thinking the original warranted a sequel, and then says Mummy didn't?

And don't get me wrong, I enjoy Without A Paddle, just don't think you can seriously trash a theatrical sequel to a decent flick and then state your excitement for what appears to be one of the worst Direct-to-DVD sequels of all time.

He's trying to promote Paramount product while trashing Universal product. For those interested, which I'm assuming is everyone on this forum, Without a Paddle: Nature's Calling will also receive a much-deserved Blu-ray release on January 13th, 2009! Admittedly, this film will suffer from the absence of Matthew Lilliard, but I still am so excited.

I liked without a paddle. but the sequel is just another lame completely unrelated film with none of the same actors, trying to cash in by putting a familiar title on it and labeling it a sequel.

...god I hate direct-to-dvd shit.

Re: Without a paddle 2

I know no one was convinced Chloeclover was authentic, but I did a little digging up and found that he posted this in another movie forum:

"Hey guys, I work directly with Paramount Pictures and would like to share a fun application for the upcoming movie Without a Paddle: Nature's Calling. I worked on the development team that created the Myspace page and we came up with some really cool features. I just thought that I’d share it with the other forum users. Enjoy!"
