Batman (1989) - 2 Disc Special Edition DVD - OOP?

Is the 2-disc DVD for Batman (the 1989 one) now out-of-print?

I'm eBaying alot of my DVDs and noticed the high price for this one. Maybe a good time to eBay with the new DVD coming out next week? Or should I wait longer...

No reason to bump 4 month old threads.

Yes, there is. The OP had a question that has already been answered. That is the reason why the search function exist, so that people don't create duplicate threads of things that people have already talked about.

Seriously dude chill out. I see you do this in every thread and you are not the forum police. It's not like this is asked every other day and not like it's on page 2. I hate it when someone necrobumps a thread and I'm thinking there's some new info on said title.

Had to ask ... Are the 2-disc Batman DVD from (the 80's and '90s) now out-of-print?

No reason to bump an almost 12 hour old thread. Start a new one!

This is not about being forum police or not, this is about having multiple thread about the same topic. The discussion gets lost and the information diluted if we have 2+ threads talking about the same thing. To maintain a little order and less clutter, members like myself prefer that someone bumps an old thread instead of creating a new one asking or talking about something that has already been posted. Why crowd the forum every time that someones has a similar question like the one above?

"OH NOES! MORE THAN ONE THREADZ ON THE SAME TOPICS!" Come on people, it's not the end of the world. This a freaken message board! If it bothers you that much, then here's an idea. PM a administrater and ask them to merge the threads. It is not that difficult to do.

I think is easier that members do a search before posting.

I thought they were supposed to release the original Batman movies (1989-1997) on BD when Dark Knight came out on BD, but I guess that's not happening after all since DK comes out in one week.

They're being released on Blu-Ray overseas in December, though; imagine the R1 versions will follow shortly:

I found it odd when I noticed that these were going for quite a bit on eBay a while back. Heck, lots of weird stuff is OOP now and going for quite a bit on eBay like any releases of Gone With the Wind and The Wizard of Oz. Are those being released to BD sometime soon also?

Yes. Next year to celebrate the 70th anniversary of both films WB is released them on BD, at least that's what I heard earlier this year and they were listed on an insert I got inside another BD. I guess WB wants to wait until 2009 to release Batman since it would be the 20th anniversary.

You're probably right, but I think they would have sold more riding on the tails of The Dark Knight rather than celebrating some weak anniversary.

Damn! It's been almost 20 years already? I remember seeing this in the theatre when it was first released.

I completely agree. I would have bought them up when I picked up my copy of Dark Knight!
