Will Disney produce a new and improved platinum edition of Mickeys Christmas Carol in the future?

Maybe, maybe not.

Seriously, not likely, as this was not a full-length movie and was included on Walt Disney Treasures: Michey Mouse In Living Color, Volume 2.

It's also on the Classic Cartoon Favorites, Vol. 9 - Classic Holiday Stories (The Small One/Pluto's Christmas Tree/Mickey's Christmas Carol) disc that was released a couple of years ago.

The transfer on the current releases is very good. I know that the VHS had a making of featurette which I don't know if it was ported over to the DVD releases.

FYI, it's only full screen on there, and on the House of Mouse DVD. The only place with the original widescreen is the Treasures.

It has not ever had its own release on DVD. The above summary is correct.

The only thing I might add is that, on Mickey's Magical Christmas, it is edited into the feature.

I didn't realize it had ever been widescreen? Wasn't it made for TV in the 80's? Unless there was an alternate widescreen version made that I wasn't aware of.

I always liked this short when I was younger. I wouldnt mind having it on dvd.
