Sorry to quote myself, but they did this with the Orton/Undertaker match too, during the same spot.

Guess I'm going to have to go to the Newport Mall location for now.

Just ordered the Royal Rumble Anthology from WWEShop.com for about $100 with free 2 Day Shipping. Anyone know where I can find a list of theme edits and other random little changes.

WWE Royal Rumble: The Complete Anthology Notes:

Credit goes to BrIaNMeRcY for compiling this list:

Additional notes:

- From 1988-2002, any reference to the WWF initials is changed in some fashion noted below.
- From 2000-2002, The WWF New York logo was altered with a WWE New York logo

Volume I:

1988 Royal Rumble

- Jumping Bomb Angels theme is dubbed over.

1989 Royal Rumble

- No Alterations

1990 Royal Rumble

- "Jive Soul Bro" is dubbed over with The Big Boss Man's 1998-1999 theme.
- Koko B. Ware's Theme is dubbed over with his Piledriver theme

1991 Royal Rumble

- Intro re-voiced by Mean Gene Okerlund. Live airing and Tagged Classics version is voiced by Vince McMahon. Royal Rumble theme is dubbed over with some cheesy song.
- Orient Express theme is dubbed over. Same one heard on the WrestleMania Anthology.

1992 Royal Rumble

- Intro re-voiced by Mean Gene Okerlund. Live airing and Tagged Classics version is voiced by Vince McMahon. Royal Rumble theme is dubbed over with some cheesy song.
- Orient Express theme is dubbed over. Same one heard on the WrestleMania Anthology.

Volume II

1993 Royal Rumble

- Caesar & Cleopatra's theme is dubbed over. (Credit goes to Max from AntDogs Fourm)
- Closing theme is dubbed over with the same dub featured on the 1991 and 1992 Rumble intros.

1994 Royal Rumble

- Intro theme is dubbed over. (Credit goes to Max from AntDogs Fourm)
- Match preview screens just blur out the F in WWF
- Closing theme replaced with some generic song which is heard in the 1991 and 1992 Rumble intros. Orignal song was the WrestleMania VII and VIII theme.

1995 Royal Rumble

- Intro theme is dubbed over.

1996 Royal Rumble

- No Alterations

1997 Royal Rumble

- Perro Aguayo, El Canek, & Hector Garza's theme is a dub

Volume III

1998 Royal Rumble

- During the opening montage, the WWF scratch logo wasn't covered over with a WWE logo.
- All championship name bars were changed to say WWE.
- Death Race is dubbed over.
- Max Mini, Nova & Mosaic theme is a dub
- Cactus Jack's theme is dubbed over with his WCW Slam Jam theme.
- Tom Brandi's theme is a dub

1999 Royal Rumble

- The Oddities theme is dubbed over. Golga's theme replaced with some generic song.
- Luna Vachon theme replaced with Randy Orton's 1st.

2000 Royal Rumble

- Opening video had King of the Deathmatch footage replaced with WCW and ECW footage.
- Few seconds into the opening video, Cactus Jack's voice was altered to say WWE.
- Cactus Jack's theme is dubbed over with his WCW Slam Jam theme.

2001 Royal Rumble

- The WWF Attitude intro was kept intact with blurs.
- Dominatrix is dubbed over with some gemeric theme.
- Chyna's name bar was altered from WWFDivas.com to WWEDivas.com
- Rumble Build-up video package theme was dubbed over. They did a horrible job that you can still hear the orignal theme in the background.
- Drew Carey theme is dubbed over.
- The Undertaker's theme ("Rollin' by Limp Bizkit) is dubbed over with 'You're Gonna Pay' released on WWE Anthology
- Steve Austin's theme ("Glass Shaters" by Disturbed) is dubbed over with his WWF The Music Volume 3 theme.

2002 Royal Rumble

- Kid Rock's 'Cocky' is dubbed over with some generic song.
- Tazz' Cypress Hills theme is dubbed over with his Volume 5. Strange dub. Probably to cover up WWF from being said. Jerry Lawler mentioning Cypress Hills is cut.
- Edge's Theme is dubbed over with his Volume 4 Theme.
- Jazz' theme is dubbed over with her WrestleMania XIX theme
- Trish Stratus' theme is dubbed over with her last. Same dub featured on the Anthology version of WrestleMania X8.
- A Don't Try This At Home promo was inserted after the Undisputed Championship match.
- Lance Storm's theme is dubbed over with his One Night Stand 2005 theme.
- The Undertaker's theme is dubbed over with Going Postal (Production)
- Maven's Theme is dubbed over
- Saturn's Theme is dubbed over

Volume IV

2003 Royal Rumble

- "Falling Apart" by Trust Company is dubbed over with some weird rock song (Original theme can be heard on original DVD release).
- During the Triple H/Scott Steiner match video buildup, WWF scratch logos weren't blurred.
- Christopher Nowinski's theme is dubbed over (Original theme can be heard on original DVD release).
- Edge's Rob Zombie theme is replaced with his Volume 3 Theme (Volume 4 was used on the original DVD release).
- Tommy Dreamer's theme is replaced with his current (08.22.07) (Original theme can be heard on original DVD release)
- Maven's Theme is dubbed over (Original theme can be heard on original DVD release).

2004 Royal Rumble

- "Nothing Left to Lose" by Puddle of Mudd is dubbed over.
- "Bombshell" by Powerman 5000 is dubbed over with their Anthology Theme. (Was not dubbed over in the 2003 Rumble and same dub on the original 2004 Rumble DVD release)

2005 Royal Rumble

- "Find the Real" by Alter Bridge is dubbed over.
- Daniel Puder's theme is dubbed over.

2006 Royal Rumble

- Ashley Massaro's theme is dubbed over.

2007 Royal Rumble

- 'Drones' by Ride Against is dubbed over with some generic song.

Surprisingly the Summerslam Anthology has hardly any edits on themes in the earlier ones. They even have that jingle used in 88 and 89 that is now well known as the Royal Rumble theme in the early 90s which was dubbed in the RR Anthology.

Looking forward to the Survivor Series anthology.

I notice they have Summerslam Anthology Vol. 1 & 2 both for sale on March 10, 2009. I'm curious to see if they're going to keep the same disc packaging as the original anthology sets?

Was anyone else Kane dvd all scratched up too?

I have a feeling that the packaging for the individual volumes will be the same, which sucks big time.

All 3 discs of my Kane DVD have scratches but they're pretty light.

All those dubs on the Rumble set makes me glad I have them all (more or less) from the ppv or original commercial. 'Tis a shame, because like with the Mania sets, uncut DVD versions of all the shows would be awesome. I bought the Legacy VHS set because of this preference.

Can someone explain why exactly the Kane and SummerSlam DVDs get scratched in the packaging. I was actually thinking about getting the Kane set and Vol. 1 of SS, but I really hate scratches.

Basically instead of the discs stored in the hubs, the discs were stored in cardboard sleeve inserts with the back rubbing against the cardboard. You have to be extremely careful removing and putting back but majority of the time they're already several scratches on it.

Heres a pic of the Summerslam set from amazon. The Kane set is packaged the same way. The Edge DVD however is in a regular digipack so thats fine.

Has anyone who has visited Fye and Best Buy recently noticed if they still are carrying the Booker T and AJ Styles Cross The Line covers? I heard they were very limited and I have not been able to get them as of yet.

Correct. Booker T is at FYE and AJ is at Best Buy. I've been trying to locate someone who stumbles across each of them in great condition. Much like all of the TNA box sets, anything I find is always dented and beat up.

Seriously. That's actually kinda kept me from picking it up. Every single copy I've located looks like he's been on the shelf for years.

Picked up the Ultimate Fan Edition of the Edge DVD just 2 hours ago.

The contents are the DVD itself (no duh), A Topps Trading Card, a Skull Cap, and a Collectible Coin.
