Poultrygeist: Night of the Chicken Dead release (10/28/08)?

Anyone pick this up today? I was wondering if this release is worth it. I saw that it was numbered out of 15,000 which is cool.

But how is the package and movie as a whole?

I wasn't totally enamorate of "Toxic Avenger" when I first saw it, so i am not sure if this one would warrant a purchase even though i do have "Tromeo & Juliet" and "Citizen Toxie" but haven't watched either yet.

also, i saw the review here which was nice and reason i am remotely interested.

overall, package, presentation, and movie thoughts?

Poultrygeist, IMO, is the best Troma flick since the original Toxic Avenger. Trust me. It has everything you'd ever want/expect from Troma and Lloyd Kaufman.

The bonus disk also has about a 80 minute documentary, while the third disk is pretty much all the musical numbers (which there are plenty) done karaoke (or kara-yolk-e)-style.

If a fan of Troma, it's a must buy.

agreed its the best thing since Toxie 1. I saw it over the weekend, and was amazed. Biggest Splatter fest troma has done (at lease that i remember), and I've seen a lot of them. i need to stop by and pick this up tonite.

I'm not the biggest Troma fan, but I can't wait to check this out because it was filmed right by my apartment in Buffalo,NY. Several friends of mine are extras and a good friend did all the costumes for the film.

Thanks. If it's limited to 15000, I guess I can hold off for now until a sale comes around.

oh my god, that movie was a hoot, no wait a cluck... there's so much bodily fluids flying left and right, the sfx guys must have had hoses attached everywhere to let the grue drench everything and everyone.

hey it's Troma, it's an over the top mixture of bad acting, silly effects and excessive gore - best if slightly intoxicated. The movie seems a tad long at 103 minutes, but it's certainly a blast.

Great film. I bought it the weekend before it was supposed to be on shelves at Best Buy. As always with Troma making of documentaries the one on disc 2 is sooooo fun to watch. Nothing goes right for these guys but they keep on trucking and turn out amazing films.

After blind buying Black Sheep and finding it to be a blast, this also appears to be a worthy blind buy. Another title to acquire during DD's 25% off sale.

Poultrygeist is amazing! I had been waiting for the DVD to come out for quite awhile, and the movie didn't disappoint. Highly recommended!

Also:

Spoiler:
Did anyone else see the easter egg where Lloyd popped out of his thong? I didn't need to see that

I was handed a sampler DVD of this at a film festival. Didn't plan on being interested in this, but I am intrigued now. I'll pop that disc in tonight.

Amazon is saying that it's in stock but that it might take 1-2 extra days to process it. Whatever the hell that means.
