I liked it as well, didn't think it was bad at all, sure it has a different feel to it, but still enjoyable.

And, Star Wars overall is geared more for kids anyway, so I was expecting this to be something kiddos would like more than adults. When looked at in that light, it's not a bad movie. It did a pretty good job, imo, of launching the tv show, . . ., which is on Cartoon Network, . . ., which is geared for the kids.

I wish all Star Wars fans were that reasonable. For some reason, a lot of Star Wars fans view the original trilogy with too much nostalgia and think it's an adult series (maybe this is why some of them hate RotJ, because the Ewoks are "too childish"). The prequel trilogy and Clone Wars series (and movie) are more obviously aimed at children, so it got those deluded fans up in arms. Yes, the series has gotten more of a childish focus over the years, but it's never been as serious as some people make it out to be.

Star Wars has always been primarily a childish affair... if you can't love it for what it is, you should stop calling yourself a fan.

I picked up the 2-disc version of Clone Wars at Target, and watched it this weekend with my younger siblings (all below 15) - they all loved it. Even though I'm almost 30, I enjoyed it too... as a Star Wars movie. The only thing I didn't like was the relatively small screen time of the other Jedi. I hope the series (which I haven't seen yet) gives Mace Windu, Yoda, and the other Masters some love.

I actually managed to pick up this up one of the local Best Buy's today. They had two copies and I picked both of them up (one for myself, and one for my friend). Has anyone figured out what's up with the $51.42 price tag? They both still had that, but rang up at $24.99.

Most likely a mistake. Same thing happened with the Dr. Who season steelbook that came out. Some people reported seeing a new sticker placed over the original sticker with the right price. My Best Buy simply left the 51.42 sticker on the clone wars dvd, while the Dr. Who dvd had no price tag.

I watched this last night, and I have to say that it was alright. This is definitely a pro/con situation.

Pros:
-Surprisingly well-plotted
-Good action set-pieces
-Fast-paced

Cons:
-No "wow" factor
-Mostly terrible voice acting
-The humor was just awful, and was Jabba's uncle gay?

I've seen multiple copies of the Clone Wars steelbook in two of the Best Buys in Richmond VA (as recently as yesterday). They also have multiple Hancock steelbooks.

Damn, wish I'd gotten a chance to see this when it was first released. Would love to have one of those steelbooks. Suspect with the holidays coming up they're all long gone.

Listened to all the reviewers who said it was a POS. Like a lot of you, I finally saw it at a friends place last weekend. Not that bad at all.

Saw a couple of steelbooks at my Best Buy as well.

While I tried to keep an open mind, all the negativity made me fear for the worst. I was pleasantly surprised, and honestly can't understand all the vitriol over it.

I have 5 words for you:

Ziro the Drag Queen Hutt.

Enough said.

That's an understatement!

Really, this was the only problem I had with this movie.

Thats another one that I didn't think was that big a deal. "Awww how cute. George is doing a Truman Capote riff."

I just don't get the hate. It was a weird character that didn't have a cookie cutter personality that brought a little out-of-this-world-ness to the show.

I just watched the movie again and I realized that the cool image on the inside of the steelbook (droids and clones marching toward each other on Tatooine) is not actually in the movie. Thats my favorite image form The Clone Wars.
