Yes Definitely All I want to do is see a movie once or twice..maybe its being 45 years old but collecting movies or high end video equipment is cool when u are young but a waste of time and money in real life...40's on wards and I dont get the limited packaging stuff..better to just burn your $(how many people really really pay attention to the box after first 5 minute..sold my whole collection a while back...I am sure this will draw the elitist "Joe Beer man or 6 pack..whatveer" ire but insulting someone because their life doesnt revolve around audio/video equipment and software is...very few movies have I watched twice

This makes perfect sense. I don't know if they do sell them in airports or not but if I had a long flight I would pick up one or two of these just to pass the time. Especially in an airport when most of the stuff that is sold are impulse items used to pass the time. (books, magazines, games)

I picked up a few today, partially because I hate the environment.

No. I don't rent movies because most discs can be had for under $10 after a few months. Why would I want to pay $5 for something that won't work in a couple days when I could spend a couple more bucks and own it?

Yep.

I think renting regularly as a way of watching movies is kind of silly too. For the same reason.

Doubt it, Netflix will then have the added cost of having to send everyone who rents a film a brand new disc. That's a lot of extra discs, they'll be paying extra shipping costs getting those discs from the manufacturer and they're gonna need bigger warehouses to store 'em in too. etc. etc.

Why buy a disposable DVD when you can rent a movie on pay-per-view? That way you avoid going to get the DVD and throwing it away.

"Disposable DVD's" do nothing but promote wastefulness. Most people can't even bother to recycle aluminum cans, why would they recycle a plastic DVD?

I would be interested in the second disc of some of the current crop of 2 disc sets, you know the ones where Best buy charges 8 dollars more for the extra disc. I doubt they would ever do it, but that is the only way I would use these. Well that and the airport idea.
