DVD Talk Legend
I stopped listening to commentaries right around the time I stopped reviewing DVDs for the same reason: who's got the FREAKIN' time?? (also, tornado)
That having been said, when it comes to great commentary tracks:
#1) Michael Jeck on SEVEN SAMURAI
#2) Everybody else... except...
.
.
.
.
.
.
#3) The old guy who directed a few "Fawlty Towers" episodes. I dare anyone to listen to the entirety of that track.

1) Repeatedly uses "infer" when he means "imply"
2) Repeatedly mispronounces a major character's name. Charles Laughton plays Senator "Seab" Cooley; all the characters in the movie pronounce "Seab" to rhyme with the first syllable of "feeble". The novel lets us know that "Seab" is short for "Seabright". Casper unfailingly calls the character "See-ab" to rhyme with "pre-fab". Since Casper repeatedly cites the novel, and presumably watched the film, how he makes this mistake is beyond me

DVD Talk Hall of Fame
I think the contender for best and worst commentary track might be Bill Shatner's for Star Trek V: The Final Frontier. You get nearly two hours of him pointing out how much better the film would have been, had Paramount spent more money. It's great hearing such unrestrained bitching about the studio. It's also quite monotonous after about an hour. What sustains it, though, is that about every ten minutes there's something that was cheapened because of the tight budget.
