I wonder if it unfolds like the quadrilogy, or contains slimcases...

Cool artwork though. I'm interested.

This should have been 16 discs, and folded out like the quadrilogy did. I would buy it just to laugh about how big it was.

Could be cool, depending on the price. I might just rush to get the Alien quadrilogy, seeing as how it's only 8 discs.

Eh. Don't really see much of a point to this release. All of the films in it have received much better releases.

"Total Destruction" - Haaaa, that name is so apropo considering the direction this (loosely termed) series has gone.

Artwork looks neat, but there's plenty of better Alien artwork available online for free ...

Pass.

Well if they decide to give us yet another sequel, maybe one with some promise I would invest AGAIN in this series....but until then? I'm find with my Quadrilogy and my single releases.

I already own all those movies on DVD (with the exception of AVP: Requiem which I own on Blu-ray), but it is nice to have them all in one set, though. If they ever release a BD set with all the films it will be a must buy.

I finally saw Aliens vs Predator: Requiem; what a piece of garbage.
And I loved Alien vs. Preadator! I just read that James Camereon called AvP the third greatest Alien movie (after Alien and Aliens.)

Am I the only one that actually really enjoyed AVPR? I thought it was miles better than AvP...

it would have been better if the director had hired a better DP and edito,r the fight scenes looked horrendous and badly edited.

absolutely NO interest in this box set

I also enjoyed it, yes there are plenty of dark shots, but I liked the gore that was in it and thought it could have been a lot worse.

I'm the oppisote. I kinda liked AVP. In AVPR, all they added was blood and gore. Just adding blood and gore to a movie that already has stupid and uninteresting characters/plot doesn't make it good.

Wasn't there just a complete collection with Alien - AvP R releases not too long ago? It had a predator and alien figurine with it.

Not quite. The release of that set was timed with the theatrical release of AvP Requiem, so it couldn't have included all of the films. Also that was a Best Buy exclusive. This new set is a general release.

Me too. An R rating was nice and all, but everything else was two steps below AVP, especially with what I thought were terrible fight sequences between the title characters and stupid humans.

Me three, AvP was passably entertaining IMO, mainly because of Lance Henriksen, and the fights were cooler. The characters were so much worse in AVPR.
