It's also 4 discs this time, so each movie gets it's own side of a DVD10.

I'm not sure They Saved Hitler's Brain deserves it's own side of a DVD10.

It's a surprisingly good transfer.

THE HEARSE and LAND OF THE MINOTAUR are anamorphic 16X9, the rest are 1:33 to 1.

The print of MADMEN OF MANDORAS, the original version of HITLER'S BRAIN which is also included in this set, PROVIDED it's the one used in this earlier double feature . . .
http://www.amazon.com/dp/B000H5U6CA/
. . . looks fantastic.
(note: reviews at that link are for an old VHS tape. I wish Amazon would stop that)

The previous HITLER'S BRAIN DVD from Rhino . . .
http://www.amazon.com/review/product...owViewpoints=1
. . . was OK, but didn't look or sound anywhere near as good as MANDORAS version on the more recent Starlite double feature, but it did have that laughable (and mismatching) new footage shot by the UCLA film students several years later, so it's nice that both are included in this set.

HOWEVER, BCI did use a ragged, edited print of POM POM GIRLS in their recent SCHOOL DAZED 8 MOVIE COLLECTION, when a near-pristine version was available in their earlier Starlite Double Feature that paired it with THE VAN (also seen in SCHOOL DAZED in a shoddier print, but at least it remained intact), so there's no telling just what version of any particular film might turn up in these 8 packs, but for the price, it's tough to complain.

BCI has done a few of these sets now, presumably to get the old Crown International library out there as quickly and cheaply as possible. Every set has some real gems (plus a teensy bit of overlap in the form of the trippy PICK-UP).

You can also search out:

MAXIMUM ACTION 8 MOVIE COLLECTION
AFTER DARK THRILLERS 8 MOVIE COLLECTION
SCHOOL DAZED (as noted above)

Looks like DRIVE-IN CULT CLASSICS has become the catch-all at this point.
